When Edward returned to the hospital, he learned that Albie had woken up. However, he did not go to see Albie in the first place, he went directly to the dean's office.

"What is he doing here?" As soon as Edward left, Ruby came out of the dressing room in the dean's office.

"Guess what?" The dean waved a hair in his hand.

As clever as Ruby is, she immediately understood Edward's intention. He wanted to have a paternity test with Albie Ye. Well, she won't let him satisfied.

Being out of the office, Edward entered Albie's ward. He was already asleep and Bella was holding his little hand and wiping away her tears.

"Is your face better?" Edward touched Bella's inflamed cheek, and she dodged in shock.

With a sense of loss, Edward grabbed Bella's wrist with some disappointment. "Come out, I have something to say."

Bella reluctantly walked out of the room. "I have nothing to say with you."

"I have applied for a paternity test, and the results will come out soon."

"Do you still want Albie?" Bella felt dizzy, and her body was stretched to the limit after days of mental strain.

Albie must return to Long's family. Edward was adamant. "You can make any terms."

"Really?" Bella's body froze, and the scene of Ruby trying to pull out Albie's ventilator flashed through her mind.

"Yes, fill in the amount of money and give it to me." Edward handed over a cheque.

"Do you think money is great?" Bella didn't take the check, and her face turned cold. "I will never sell my son."

"What can I do for you?" Bella wondered that Edward, who had not seen her for several days, looked more gaunt and bloodshot.

"Can you explain this to me?" Edward picked up the paternity test and threw it towards Bella.

Bella picked up the document and saw that the conclusion clearly said, "exclude parentchild relationship, but not exclude paternal kinship."

"Patriarchal kinship?" Edward's father died at an early age. Edward had an uncle who was paralyzed in bed in the US ten years ago. Therefore, Edward and Jason were the only men in Long's family.

"What does this mean?" Though Bella was reluctant for Edward's recognizing Albiee, she couldn't accept the result of the appraisal which could convict her of "cheating".

"Do you still have the face to ask me? Bella, I really despised you. " Edward stormed around the room in exasperation.

"Edward, has the result come out?" When the door was pushed open, Catherine came in, followed by Ruby in a white dress.
