Chapter 52 novel My Perfect Marriage Was His Perfect Crime

She pointed ahead and said,

“Nat, isn't that your car?”

I wiped my tears, following her finger, and saw a man and a woman spray-painting on my car with the words:

“Bitch, die a horrible death.”

Lena immediately wanted to get out of the car to confront them.

I held her back, shaking my head in despair.

Through my choked sobs, I whispered,

“Let's go.”

She took me to her house.

Not long after, Zack arrived.

He walked straight toward me and pulled me into his arms.

His eyes were full of pity as he said, “I'm sorry, my wife. I didn't know she would do this.”

I leaned against his chest, and the tears came flooding back.

Zack and Lena kept comforting me, and it was a while before I started to feel a little better.

Seeing that I had calmed down,

Zack hesitated for a moment before taking out his phone and placing it in front of us.

“She sent me a message at noon.”

I glanced at it.

The messages from the girl, Bella, were clearly marked.

“Achen, let's get back together, okay?”

“Achen, don't get married, I can't stand it.”

“What's so good about her? She's just full of temper and has some money.”

“Please reply. Don't be so cruel to me.”

“Pick up the phone!!!”

“You'll regret this.”

...

The last message was from Zack:

“We're already a thing of the past. I love my wife. I've blocked you.”

I stared blankly at the screen.

Zack, seeing I was silent, looked a little flustered.

He hurriedly came over and hugged me tightly, his face full of sadness:

“Wife, I didn't know she'd do this. Please don't think too much, okay? Don't leave me.”

I lowered my head and said nothing, tears still streaming down my face.
