Sheridan could not stay silent for a moment longer. He looked at me and said, "Miss Reid, spare his life!"

I looked at the man, who was clutching his hand in a daze and said coldly, "It's just a finger. It's nothing more than a piece of appetizer. What are you afraid of? His hands are still intact!"

No one spoke for a moment.

I turned back to the man who appeared to be in shock, his eyes on the ground. "Let me ask you again, where is my husband?"

The man was devastated. He looked at me and answered, "I told you, he was shot dead. He was taken away by another group of people after we dragged him out of the car. Those people killed him. He is dead!"

Clenching the knife in my hand, I narrowed my eyes at him and said, "The dead man is not my husband at all. It seems that you don't want your hands anymore."
