The ride to the hospital was very quiet. Soon, we arrived.

After getting out of the car, I pretended to tie my shoelaces so that I was a couple of steps behind Hendrix.

Hendrix stopped in his tracks and turned around to look at me. His eyes looked cold. "Arianna, do you have a heavy rock tied to your legs?"

I rolled my eyes at him. "That's none of your business. The hospital is small, I won't get lost."

For some reason, Hendrix kept nagging at me.

His face darkened as he stood there, staring at me.

I wasn't in the mood to entertain him. So, I lifted my chin and walked past him. I was now walking ahead of him.

I quickened my pace. Truth was, I was upset. Hendrix followed closely behind me.

Even though I didn't have eyes in the back of my head, I could feel him staring daggers at me from behind. It made me uncomfortable.

I came to a stop, and took a step to the side. Seconds later, I was walking side by side with

him.

He narrowed his eyes at me. He looked somewhat pleased.

Together, we walked into the elevator.

When the elevator door swung open, I was welcomed with an empty corridor. Only then did I realize that this hospital was deserted.

Hendrix saw my shocked expression and said mildly, "To save time."

"Reserving the entire hospital? I guess this is the kind of life the richest man in the world lives," I thought to myself.

I continued, "If you don't need the money, you could donate it to people in need, you know?"

Soon after stepping out of the elevator, a bodyguard walked up to us and greeted him, "Sir."

"All set?" Hendrix asked blankly.
