Chapter 271

Arabella ate nothing but only had a sip of wine tonight. She retched several times and spat out some of her bile. She felt so uncomfortable that her eyes turned red.

Kenneth got out of the car and went to her side. He raised his hand and wanted to pat her on the back. His big hand, however, just froze in the air for a few seconds before he retracted it.

He handed her a white handkerchief.

Arabella stopped vomiting, took the handkerchief, and wiped her mouth. Then she looked up at him and said, "No matter how angry you are, you can't drive so fast next time. I don't like you driving so fast, and I'm very uncomfortable."

Kenneth looked at her red eyes and the few glistening tears on her slender eyelashes, which made her look very delicate and touching.

Kenneth's heart ached as if there was a knife wringing in it. He smiled lightly and chuckled in a hoarse voice, "I didn't mean to drive so fast. It was like I could not control myself just now. Just take it as I was sick again."

Arabella could tell that he was mocking himself. She quickly took out a pill and handed it to his lips. "Are you okay now? Here's your medicine for tonight. Take it."

Kenneth turned his head to avoid it.

Usually, he would take pills obediently and cooperate with Arabella in the acupuncture treatment. It was the first time he had refused to take medicine.

"Why don't you take it?" Arabella asked.

Kenneth reached for the pill and tossed it straight into the trash can. "Taking it or not won't change the fact that I'm sick." said Kenneth.

"Hey, what are you doing? How could you throw the pill?"

Before Sharon could say the phrase "perfect match", she was interrupted by Kenneth, who said, "I did, and I brought her back."

"What do you mean?" Sharon was stunned.

Arabella stepped forward awkwardly and took Sharon's hand. "Grandma, there's some misunderstanding about this matter. Ms. Lucero, no, Jenna, and I knew each other long ago."

Sharon glanced up and down at Arabella and said, "Bella, you're not the talented girl Jenna talked about, are you?"

Arabella blinked and said, "It seems that I am."

"But everyone says you've only graduated from high school..."

"Grandma, I don't know why everyone says so, but I was already recommended to attend the youth class at Faykarta No.1 Medical University when I was 13 years old. At the age of 15, I became a postdoc and found that there was nothing else for me to learn, so I came back. I met Jenna on the way, and she invited me to study at Saint Medical College, but I felt it was too far from home and turned her down. This time, Jenna invited me to a party. That's all."
