Chapter 290

At the thought of this, Arabella shuddered with fear.

Mr. Lucero had been a teenager then. He didn't want to tell her what had happened next because that period was the worst and most miserable time in his life.

Arabella nodded heavily, "Okay! I promise you I won't believe anything they say. I only listen to you."

Then, she kissed his thin lips.

Kenneth felt her enthusiasm. After all, she had never been so active before. Her enthusiasm made him forget about the bloody pain. He felt wantonly happy and carefree as if being thrown into the clouds from a cold cellar.

"Bella, I love you..." he whispered in her ear with his eyes full of affection.

...

After they returned to the bed, Arabella nestled in Kenneth's arms like a kitten. Suddenly, she asked, "Mr. Lucero, why did you go to the institute today? Is it a coincidence that you saw Tyrone and me together?"

Kenneth stroked her smooth black hair with a big hand, handed her his mobile phone with the other, and said, "I was waiting outside to pick you up. But Stephany sent me a message. So, I went in."

Hearing this, Kenneth raised his eyebrows, exuding a mature man's charm. Then, he arched his slender waist upward and said, "We can talk about it! But you must get off me first!"

Arabella was sitting on his waist, so his movement made her face flush. She quickly crawled off him and buried herself under the quilt, leaving only her bright eyes outside. Then, she said, "Anyway, it is your fault this time. Why did you go in to catch me after Stephany sent you the message? Do you believe her instead of me? I am your wife! What you did made me lose face!"

Hearing her complaining in a soft voice, Kenneth felt his heart melt. He leaned over to kiss her eyes outside the quilt and said, "Sorry, I was wrong."

He had always known she was smart. After he got angry, she did not intensify the conflict but tried to make him happy. When he was in a good mood, she would have a heart-to-heart talk with him and give him a "preventive injection". She did know how to handle him!
