Chapter 71

When he stared at her, the passion in his narrow eyes almost set her on fire, so she buried her red face in his arms.

When he lowered his head to kiss her red lips again, she turned her face aside with a smile because her mouth was numb.

Then, she reminded aloud, "Mr. Lucero, it's time to sleep."

Kenneth lay down on the bed and looked at the delicate crystal chandelier above his head. Then, he raised his hand to cover his scarlet eyes, tucked her in, and said, "Good night."

In his arms, Arabella soon fell asleep.

He kissed her forehead, sniffing her sweet body fragrance. Suddenly, her phone rang again, and it was still Melvin.

Kenneth glanced at her sleeping face and answered the call.

Melvin instantly said in an anxious voice, "Bella, you finally answered my call! I..."

"She's asleep," Kenneth interrupted.

Melvin froze on the other end of the phone, forgetting to breathe.

Kenneth smiled leisurely and continued in a low and calm voice, "Mr. Spencer, Bella is very tired and has fallen asleep in my arms. I'm sorry she missed your calls. We were having fun just now so she didn't hear the phone ring."

After finishing speaking, he immediately hung up the phone.

...

When Arabella went to the hospital to see Janelle, she saw Leia at the gate.

Leia's face was pale, and her eyes were red and swollen. Obviously, the failure of the engagement had given her a hard blow. After all, one of her feet had already stepped into a wealthy family, but she had been abruptly pulled back.

In the hospital, Arabella received a message from Aurora, saying, "Bella, why are you stimulating Leia like this? A cornered beast will do something desperate."

Arabella replied, "Something desperate? I have been waiting for it for a long time."

...

When Leia returned home in despair, she said to Caitlin, "Mom, Melvin has dumped me. He's obsessed with Arabella. How can such a slut compare to me? I want her to die! Everything will return to normal as long as she dies, and Melvin will still be mine!"

Caitlin's face was also gloomy. Since Arabella had come back, Caitlin had been defeated in all confrontations.

Her biggest wish was to marry her two daughters into the top four families in Hardgrad. Leia had almost succeeded, but Arabella had destroyed it.

Now, Melvin was very likely to rekindle the past romance with her. If Arabella married into the Spencer family, all their efforts would be in vain.
