Chapter 11 

Madeline just looked at Winslet silently, saying, “Oh!” 

Winslet seemed a little surprised. Every time she mentioned that incident before this, Madeline would express a painful and helpless stance. 

When Winslet saw Madeline in that state, she would be happy. 

At least to her, she won the competition between both of them thoroughly

Winslet smiled innocently. “The reason why he got engaged to you is that I rejected his love. You are so pathetic.” 

“Yea. I’m pathetic.” Madeline smiled. “And both of you are dignified and noble 

Madeline turned to leave after finishing her words. 

Winslet looked at her back and snorted. “You’re just pretending to be strong.) 

Madeline didn’t bother to respond to her at all. 

She had to head to the internet cafe tonight too

After all, the Larson family would not buy her a computer, nor did Madeline want others to discover her secret. 

However, when she arrived at the entrance of the internet cafe, the phone in her pocket rang 

Beep! Beep! Beep! 

It was a call from Henry, 

Henry was an unrealistic, unrestrained, and carefree wanderer. 

He had a lot of high–end car dealerships under his name and was not short of

Madeline gristed her teeth and clenched her fists. 

After that incident, Madeline practiced car racing for many years to rid herself of the trauma. Then, she won first place in the competition held by the mafu. 

But no matter how powerful she became after that, Madeline still lost the car race that happened when she was 18 years old and lost to the

Madeline closed her eyes, 

Her phone rang over and over again. 

In the darkness, it seemed like Henry’s calls were so urgent as if they concerned a matter of life and death 

Madeline’s turbulent thoughts had subsided 

Her eyes were dark, and her face was indifferent. A burst of laughter from different men rang through the phone when she answered. 

“Hey, is this Mr. Henry Larson’s sistert He lost his bet with us, and now we’re going to end him! If you don’t want anything to happen to him, come to Maple Hill by yourself now, okay?” 

As they were a bunch of spoiled rich brats, a man on the other side of the phone deliberately blew a whistle.

Constant indecent remarks floated into Madeline’s ear amidst the chaotic noise. 

Madeline hung up the phone and hailed a taxi by the roadside,

At the internet cafe’s entrance. Alexander saw Madeline take a turn and leave. “Huh? Why did she walk away! She is so good at playing games she brought in many business for me” 

“She has already arrived anyway. Do you think she will still leave?” Steven stood in the dark with a vague attitude. 

“Steven, let’s go and have a look.” Alexander quickly took out the car key. “I really want her to join my e–sports team.” 

He narrowed his eyes, continuing, “Maybe she will become the most beautiful woman in the world of e–sports.”

Henry sat in the car, reeking of alcohol, with many bottles and cans piled underneath his car door. 

“Look at what you’ve done to him!” A woman stood beside Henry, leaning against a silver–spooned kid’s embrace. “Heh. I heard that Mr. Henry Larson’s sister is an unparalleled beauty. She might not be able to take it if you guys go overboard!” 

“If she is a weak and delicate girl, then we can do anything to her” Kevin Zimmerman sneered and pinched Ella Ingram’s waist “Does Henry think he is a big shot or something! Even with millions of assets under his name, how dare he fool around with us here! Hah! He’s an ignorant fool!” 

Ella glanced at the limp Henry contemptuously. “Well, he only has the looks. Why is Linda so stupid as to start a relationship with him! She has angered Caspian now. Even though nothing might happen to Henry, Caspian will definitely unleash his frustration on Henry’s sister because be hates it when people try to seduce his women. Caspian is an–eye-for–an–eye man!” 

“We don’t need to worry about that. Kevin smiled as he glanced at the approaching taxi. 

The sky was already dark 

When Madeline exited the car, she checked the time and found it was 10:30 pm 

With her hands in her pockets, she walked over. 

As if on purpose, the group whistled a few times before turning on all of their car headlights. 

Chapter II 

The glaring white headlights shone onto the road brightly, 

Madeline squinted her eyes. 

She lowered her eye–covering hand as she tried to get used to the bright lights. 

The taxi driver couldn’t help but be a little scared. “Little girl, do you want me to call the police for you?” 

Madeline turned around and smiled at the driver. “Thank you, Sir. But that won’t be necessary. 

The taxi driver drove away reluctantly, casting frequent glances back at Madeline. 

The group noticed a slender Madeline standing not far away from them, so their gazes shifted to her unconsciously. 

She was fair with beautiful long, lean legs and had her black hair tied into a ponytail. 

Even though Madeline wore an ordinary sweatshirt, it didn’t hide the fact that she was gorgeous with a noble and cool aura. That composed and reserved manner made her even more eye–catching. 

“No wonder they said Henry’s sister is a campus belle. She is indeed a beauty!” 

“A young beauty. Tsk! She’s so young and tender–looking 

“It’s a pity that we are going to be cruel and ruthless toward her.” 

Those people looked at Madeline with sympathy and interest simultaneously. 

They pitied her, thinking, “It’s unfortunate that that bastard, Henry, is her brother. It’s only reasonable for her to repay his debts!”
