Gloria quickly looked at Madeline’s expression and said. “Mr. Larson, this…”

Though Jenny was already in a dire situation, she still looked down on Madeline, thinking she was inferior.

Jenny clenched her teeth and was furious. She had heard enough about the geomancy being bad today 

The house was easily worth around 18 million dollars, and now it was being bargained down to 10 million dollars, with more people trying to lower it further 

Jenny snapped, “Bad geomancy? Just admit you can’t afford it and stop putting on a show!” 

Sean, already irritated, waved his hand in frustration, slumping in his chair, and said, “Stop causing trouble. Leave, We don’t have time for you.” 

“Be careful how you speak,” Gloria said, holding her briefcase tightly, feeling her nerves standing on end. 

It was her first time accompanying Madeline, and she had to face the situation now. She was practically crying inside

Madeline’s gaze was full of mockery. She said, “I came here to check on Jasmine, as we were classmates. I wanted to bring some fruit to visit her, but 1 came in a rush, so I didn’t buy any.” 

Jenny, enraged, rushed forward to attack. She felt that Madeline was truly shameless. She yelled, “Get out of here! You don’t need to worry about my daughter! 

Jenny knew she had been rude to Madeline last time at the police station, and now Madeline was probably holding a grudge, choosing this moment 

to rub salt in the wound.

Just then, someone arrived outside.

Jenny was shocked and said, “Ms. Hayes, you must be joking.” 

“Whether I’m joking or not, you can look it up yourself,” Willow said impatiently. “You really don’t know how to handle things 

Then, she said to Madeline, “Ms. Larson, may I invite you to a coffee house? I’ve been wanting to chat with you, if I have the honor.” 

Madeline glanced at Jenny and Sean, their expressions a sight to behold. 

Sean had already stood up and hurried over to block her way. He said, “Wait! This must be a misunderstanding. Ms. Larson… Ms. Larson…..the CEO of Glorious Group! This is our fault!” 

Madeline waved her hand and said, “Sorry, I don’t have time to chat. I’m leaving now” 

Gloria felt triumphant, giving the couple a sharp look. It’s too late to regret, she thought. 

The couple, swallowing their pride, urged them to stay. But, Madeline had already strode out. 

They hurried after them, bowing and apologizing. 

The scene was witnessed by Harper, who had just come outside to pick up a food delivery. She was stunned and covered her mouth in shock. What the heck? Are they actually apologizing to Maddie? Am I seeing this right? And that person with Maddie is none other than the business legend, Willow? she thought 

Harper was completely bewildered. Seeing them approaching, she quickly shrank back and hid inside. 

Willow looked at the Zook family and sighed. “You’ve offended Glorious Group. Now that you’re selling your assets, who would dare buy them?” Having said her piece, Willow left with Madeline. 

Sean slumped against the wall. Without it for support, he would have collapsed to the ground. 

“It’s over. Completely over. The Glorious Group… no wonder I thought she looked familiar,” he said. 

He glared furiously at Jenny and scolded, “You wretched woman! You insisted she was some poor student, and now you’ve ruined our family! Your worthless daughter gambled at Spring Breeze Casino and racked up a debt of 320 million dollars. Even if I give my life. I can’t repay that‘ 

In a fit of rage, Sean declared, “I think we should get divorced now. You take the daughter, and I’ll take the son. At least I can keep the family line going!” 

Jenny exploded in anger, roaring, “How can you say that? Where’s your conscience? You’re just going to abandon us like this?” 

“What else can I do? Who got us into this mess? Let’s go to the City Hall right now, while it’s still open, and get divorced. If we follow my plan, at least our son will be safe, and you’ll only have to spend a few years in prison” 

Jenny cried and screamed hysterically. 

Not far away, Madeline heard the shouting and fighting. A faint, cold smile appeared on her lips. 

The Zook family brought this upon themselves. Some people just never learned to stop when they were ahead.
