Coleman knew that in the entertainment industry, many things were beyond one’s control and that maybe Madeline had no choice but to work 

with Yohannes 

Yohannes didn’t realize that Coleman thought so poorly of his ethics. He pursed his lips and said, “This is Maddie’s first time shooting a leading role. I hope you will be considerate and understanding. If there are any issues, just contact me directly 

Coleman nodded. He didn’t believe that Madeline was a pure rookie without experience. However, he didn’t say anything. 

During a break, Madeline took a few sips of water, and Yohannes came over to check on her. 

Madeline glanced at him with a mouthful of water, pulling her checks, “What are you doing here? Aren’t you busy with your filming! Do you have the time to come to such a remote place to visit me?” 

“Who said I’m here for a visit?” Yohannes gave her a disdainful look. “I’m just passing by. I recommended you to Coleman because I felt sorry for you. Since I got this role for you, I’m worried about your poor performance affecting my reputation.” 

Madeline nodded, satisfied with Yohannes‘ reaction, which was very typical, She smiled and said, “Don’t worry, I won’t harm your reputation” 

Parting Yohannes on the shoulder, she added, “If you have time to criticize me, you might as well focus on your lines” 

“Thank you for your kind reminder. Yohannes shook her dirty hand off. “Your hands are covered in mud and you’re touching my clothes. They’re filthy” 

Madeline spread her hands and blinked innocently. “Sorry, I forgot I just finished cutting grass” 

Her beautiful hunds were covered in grass and mud, and her half–exposed arms had red and black scratches from working in the fields. Her feet were clad in uncomfortable straw sandals, and they were dirty as well 

Yohannes frowned deeply. “Don’t your hands hurt! You only need to go through the motions, not film continuously. If you feel embarrassed to tell Coleman that, I can talk to him on your behalf.”

Yohannes found himself lost in her eyes, unable to look away. This was bad. He had told himself to be reserved before coming.

Yohannes watched her leave. 

Rockley, holding a phone, said, “You have a magazine shoot tonight, Yohannes” 

“Push it back” said Yohannes. 

“What?” Rockley said. 

Yohannes stood there, not feeling bored at all. He just wanted to see Madeline shine in the spotlight. 

He smiled slightly and said. “I didn’t expect that she would naturally be suited to be an actress. Don’t you think?” 

“Of course. Ms. Larson’s acting skills have been recognized by Mr. Brock. She’s really amazing” Rockley said, impressed and cautious, wary of saying too much. He didn’t want to lose his end–of–year bonus for saying something wrong 

Rockley chuckled and continued. “If you are as good at acting as Ms. Larson does, Yohannes, you’d definitely be a top idol”

Luisa, holding a script. joked, “How did you become Yohannes‘ assistant with such great professionalism, Rockley? It’s odd.”

“Yes, we’ve wrapped for the day. Are you hungry?” Madeline checked the time on her phone. “It’s already seven twenty 

Tm starving.” said Yohannes 

“Really?” Madeline instinctively reached to touch his stomach. After realizing what she was doing, she quickly pulled her hand back. “It doesn’t seem that bad. I thought you were really starving. 

Yohannes‘ hair was disheveled on his forehead. He sighed, straightened up, and fixed his hair and hat. If we don’t leave now, I really will be.”
