It was late at night, and heavy breathing echoed from within Goldspin Plaza. The sounds were deep and accompanied by heavy footsteps that reverberated through every floor.

The individuals who had been mind-controlled and were gathered on the first floor heard the sound. They began moving toward the floor where the noise originated. However, when they reached the floor, they found nothing.

After searching each floor over and over, they still did not find anyone. Hence, they eventually left.

At that moment, Raylee, whose body was riddled with wounds and infected by parasitic poison, jumped back into the building from the wall where he had been hiding.

Thankfully, he could still use the power of the Infinite Bug Battle Diagram. Using a spider's abilities, he clung to the outside of the building and managed to escape. He had been fighting in the section of the building where he was sealed for what felt like an eternity.

He noticed that the guards seemed to have lost their consciousness and were only aware of how to maneuver their bodies.

However, none of this was important right now. The real problem was the poison that had spread throughout Raylee's body.

If it were not for the fact that he was a master of parasitic poison and able to counteract some of the poison's effects, he would probably already be dead.

Still, this was not a long-term solution.

Raylee had no way of escaping the towering building that reached into the clouds, so he could only continue hiding within it. As he was both mentally and physically exhausted, he soon fell asleep after closing his eyes.

He had a dream—or rather, it felt more like a replay of his memories. In this dream, he saw Troy standing before him, saying something he could not quite remember. There was also the Infinite Bug Battle Diagram, which seemed to have been secretly handed to him.

It was the reason he had the power that allowed him to eventually escape from that room. He vividly remembered Alistair's office to be on the top floor, which was why his escape had gone unnoticed at first.

Was it really that simple? Was someone helping him? With these thoughts circling Raylee's mind, he drifted into a deeper sleep amid his confusion.

The six quickly took their stances and jumped into a fight with the crowd surging toward them.

Whistler shouted, “Don’t forget to keep the civilians away as much as possible. Try not to get them killed!”

“Got it!” Linden replied, conjuring a vibrating sphere of energy in his hands.

“Barrier—Chaos Army!” In an instant, the crowd that had been rushing toward them began attacking each other instead. This created an opportunity for the six to withdraw.

As they ran, Fogort remarked, “That was impressive, Linden! You created a barrier that can disrupt their minds.”

Linden waved his hand dismissively. “It’s nothing. I just wanted to test it out. Sure enough, it’s easy to manipulate the thoughts of those who are being controlled.”
