Tybalt heard a knock on his door and opened it without hesitation. “Hey, don’t you know that I need rest?"

The woman standing in front of him was someone he had never met before, but her compassionate gaze reminded him of his mother. His tone softened considerably. "What do you need?”

“Are you Mr. Tybalt Lumley?”

“I am.”

“I'm Hazel Wakefield.” It was then that Tybalt realized that the beautiful woman with a hint of tenderness in front of him was his fiancée, whom he had never met before.

“So, you’re the one I’m marrying tomorrow?”

Hazel nodded. "You should run away quickly, Tybalt!”

Tybalt was a bit confused. “Why?”

“Your father seems to have struck some kind of deal with mine. Once you become my husband, you'll lose your life!”

Tybalt’s mind went blank. “What? I’ll lose my life just by getting married?”

Just then, as if sensing the noise from their side, Orson's bodyguards arrived at the door.

"Hazel, why are you still awake so late?” Orson's voice sounded loving on the surface, but Tybalt could detect an undercurrent of command and anger.

“What’s wrong? Why do you want to run away when you see me?”

Hazel looked a bit stunned. “What? What do you mean?”

Tybalt explained, “Even though I don’t know exactly what’s going on, I can tell that you’re afraid of your father. So, do you want to escape tonight when it's dark?”

Just then, Hazel hurriedly covered Tybalt's mouth. “Keep your voice down!”
