Less than a minute passed before Eva’s phone rang. Eva handed the phone to Hera, saying, ” Edward Hicks is calling!” 

Hera had just ended the call when it rang again. She hung up once more. The next moment, Eugene’s phone rang. With trembling hands, he took out his phone and answered, only to hear hysterical shouting. 

“You bastard, give the phone to Ms. Lewis!” It was followed by heavy breathing.

Hera shook her head. “I dare not answer. Your family head is too fierce. If he scares my baby, his father will definitely get angry!” 

Hearing Hera’s voice, Edward roared, “Eugene, turn on the speaker!” 

Eugene complied. 

Edward took several blood pressure pills and then lowered his voice, “M–Ms. Lewis, I’ll compensate you ten billion. I hope you can calm down now!” 

“Ten billion? That might not be enough now. I want 20 billion,” Hera said nonchalantly. 

This was blatant extortion. 

Edward once again took a handful of potent blood pressure medication. Then, trembling, he spoke up, “How about 15 billion? I really can’t come up with 20 billion.” 

“18 billion.” 

“16 billion.” 

“Deal!” 

Hera smiled with satisfaction. A smile from a beauty could charm many, but to Eugene, that 

was simply the devil’s smile. 

Hera sent Southern Heavens Pharmaceutical’s account information to Edward. In less than five minutes, 16 billion had been transferred. 

Smiling faintly, Hera said, “Mr. Eugene, you should get up soon. It’s quite cold down there.”
