"If you know you've made a mistake, correct it. There's no greater good than that! You may go."

Wilcox picked up the tender document on the table and browsed it.

Carlie said in a trembling voice, "Mr. Schmidt, you know everything, right?"

Wilcox frowned impatiently. "Did you not understand what I just said?"

Carlie wiped away her tears, turned around, and left silently.

Wilcox leaned on the couch, tapping his knuckles lightly on the table. Coldness flashed across his intense eyes. After a moment, he picked up his cell phone and made a call.

"Wilcox..."

"Uncle Wilfred, when do we deal with Dilbert and his lot?"

"The time isn’t right yet!"

"How much longer?" Wilcox sounded unhappy.

After a moment of silence, Wilfred said, "After three days!"

After three days?

Three days later was the birthday of Alexander Klein, the patriarch of the Kleins in Capiton.

Dilbert and the Kleins were thick as thieves. Wilfred was probably waiting for Nash to get rid of the Kleins before he dealt with Dilbert and his family.

"What if Nash fails?" Wilcox asked gloomily.

"Then we'll keep waiting!" Wilfred said calmly.

Wilcox narrowed his eyes and asked, "Do we still have time to wait? If Nash fails, Theo will also die. By then, it wouldn’t be us attacking Dilbert but he would attack us instead!”

Wilfred kept silent on the other end of the phone.

After a while, just when Wilcox was about to hang up, Wilfred said again, "There's still the ancestors of the Schmidts. If the Kleins want to attack us, they won't stand for it!"

Wilcox was surprised for a moment and then smiled helplessly. "Uncle Wilfred, you know that the Kleins have four cultivators at the Profound Oriental Realm, right?”

Wilfred responded casually, "What if our ancestors are beyond the Profound Oriental Realm?"

Raffert answered without hesitation, "Without the Kleins’ help, we have no chance of winning!"

Dilbert smiled bitterly, waved his hand, and said, "You go out first. I want to read for a bit!"

...

At Conference Room No. 1 of the State Capital in Capiton, Nash and Stellar arrived at the door and knocked on it.

Tristan opened the door in person.

The two walked in. The conference room was already full of people.

Dallas rushed over.

Stellar smiled awkwardly and said, "Sorry we’re late!"

The colonel of the Eastern Territory grumbled with displeasure, "Well, you Northern people have always been oh-so-important. We're all used to it!"

"You say I'm important, but you don't even get up to greet me!" Stellar smiled and walked to his seat.
