"Of course, I'm going! Why wouldn't I?" Rosella responded.
"I think they're up to something," Isadora said worriedly.
"Do you really think I'm going just to celebrate their patriarch's birthday?" Rosella mocked.
"Then why do you want to go?" Isadora asked, surprised.
"You know Nash's relationship with the Skye family, right?" Rosella teased.
"Stop beating about the bush! You're so annoying!" Isadora snapped.
"Nash and Theo are close. The Klein family wiped out the Skye family and invited Nash to the banquet. Nash accepted," Rosella explained.
A faint hint of concern crossed Isadora's eyes. "Isn't that dangerous for him?"
"Not necessarily. My dad said Nash wouldn’t fight a battle he wasn’t confident he could win. If he's attending the Klein family banquet, that means he's confident he can take them down," Rosella explained excitedly.
The Klein family was one of the Ten Families of Capiton! She could not believe she would get a chance to witness their downfall, especially at the hands of the man she admired most. She had to be there to support Nash.
"I understand. I'll leave right away!" With that, Isadora ended the call and quickly gathered over a dozen Mystique Loyalty Realm experts before boarding a private jet to Capiton.
Rosella suddenly felt a pang of regret. She should not have told Isadora she was going to the banquet. That troublesome woman would undoubtedly bring a group of martial artists with her and steal her thunder now.
Just as Rosella was about to board the plane, her phone rang. She fished it out and saw that it was her father who was calling her.
"Rosella, don't go to Capiton!"
"Dad, do you know what you're saying?"
"Of course, I do. I'm telling you not to go to Capiton!" Yelzog said again firmly.
"No way. We've already offended Nash before this. We can't miss any opportunity to mend our relationship with him!"
The ten-meter-wide asphalt road leading to the castle had been laid over with a red carpet. Every member of the Klein family had returned from where they were scattered about. The atmosphere at the castle was festive.
However, standing inside the grand living room of the castle, Alexander looked anything but cheerful. He had received news that most of the first-tier families had only sent gifts while opting not to attend in person.
Notably, the Sloan family from Henley City, the Blanco family from Eastjon, the Fisher family from the Northwest, and both the Murphy and Gallagher families from Blackburn had not even sent gifts.
Timothy and Julus, the two brothers, entered the living room. Alexander shot them a menacing look and asked, "Have you found out the reason for the absences?"
Sensing his grandfather's ire, Timothy trembled and replied, "It's because Nash forbade them from coming!"
"Damn it! Is Nash their father? He tells them not to come, and they just obey?" Alexander was furious, his entire being radiating a terrifying anger.
"Nash has risen too quickly. He has deep ties with many first-rate families," Abinech said, his voice soft but tinged with darkness.
Alexander suppressed his anger with an exhale and continued, "Let them be. Once we kill Nash, those families will naturally bow to us."
