Half a month passed.

Nash took a deep breath and opened his eyes tiredly.

“How long was I gone this time?” Nash asked Talroth, who was beside him.

“Five hours. Where did you go?”

“I don’t know. I don’t know where that place was. I just followed my instincts and walked. I seemed to have met an old acquaintance of mine from many years ago, but I couldn’t see his face.”

“Really? That old acquaintance must be very important to you.”

“I can’t remember.” Nash shook his head.

Just then, Nash's old-school phone started ringing. This phone had been left to him by his father and only contained his number. Yet, this call was from an unfamiliar number. Ordinary numbers should not be able to reach this phone because it was military grade.

Despite his puzzlement, Nash answered the call.

“Hello?”

“Hi, uhm, is uh... Master Talroth… there?” asked the person on the other end of the call. It sounded like a youth, and she had to be nervous considering the stammering.

“How did you manage to call this number? Who are you?” Nash questioned, on high alert. He knew that someone who could bypass his father’s system and call him must be no ordinary person.

“Um... I... I... I’m sorry for bothering you... Um...”

“Enough, give it to me.” A male voice took over.

"Quick!" Nash rushed, also realizing the severity of the situation then. If the traitor had exposed everyone's locations, then Talroth's position would have been compromised too.

This meant his wife and father were in danger. If these attackers could take down someone at Balmort's level, they had to be formidable.

The two of them immediately flew to the base of the mountain.

They had been cultivating in the mountain while Philix had been on guard below to avoid disturbing them. Strangely, there was no sign of anyone at the base of the mountain. Nash frantically tried to call his father, but the call would not go through.
