Late at night, Alfius staggered drunkenly toward the swordsman association, dragging the burly man along with him.

“Alfius! Thanks so much for today, haha!”

“I-It’s alright. I-I have to thank you as well.”

“No need to spend so much time thanking each other. Next time, your treat! How about that?”

The two slowly staggered and made their way forth.

Suddenly, a flame appeared from where the swordsman association stood. Alfius had a look of terror on his face as he looked at where the swordsman association was.

“W-What’s going on?!”

Upon finishing his sentence, he abandoned the burly man and dashed toward the swordsman association.

By the time Alfius made it to the entrance of the swordsman association, his heart shattered into pieces at the scene before him. His master and the people who had trained alongside him had all suffered a painful death inside the building.

Alfius ignored the flames and dashed toward his master.

“Master, what happened?!” Alfius asked panickedly when he saw his master’s wrecked body.

“Are you… Alfius?” his master asked as he wheezed.

“It’s me! It’s me! What on earth happened?! I’ll go get a doctor right now!”

“No, it’s pointless. I’m beyond saving,” Alfius’ master said weakly.

Just as the individual in black was about to kill Alfius, the burly man suddenly raced forth with both his swords drawn and helped Alfius escape from danger.

The individual dressed in black spoke in a voice that made it impossible to decipher whether it belonged to a man or a woman.
