My Triplet Alpha Stepbrother Mates novel Chapter 4

Giselle’s POV:

“MATE!”

I turned around to see their faces and took a step back from them subconsciously. They were as shocked as me. I could tell that by looking at their wide eyes.

Kevin took a step towards me while Stefan tried to reach for my hand. I took another step back. From the corner of my eyes, I saw Riven also approaching with the same expression.

“Giselle, listen to me”, Stefan said, making another attempt to hold my hand.

“No!” The word escaped my mouth, which was barely a whisper.

I hid my hand behind my body.

“What? They are mates?” I heard my mother’s voice.

I just realized that we are still in the grand hall with all of Dark Sapphire’s pack members and some of the guests are also still there.

The whisper of ‘Triplets’ name’ names and ‘mate’ filled the entire room.

I didn’t know what to do or say, so, I did the most logical thing I could think of. I ran!

I ran for my life like I was the little red riding hood and they were the three wolves behind me. I heard their footsteps.

I heard Kevin’s voice from behind, “Stop!”

I didn’t stop, obviously! I mean who the hell does he think he is to command me?

I climbed the stairs like a ninja, jumped inside my room and closed the door behind just in time before they could stop me.

They began to knock on my door like they were going to break it.

“Giselle, open the door! Let’s talk, baby!” I was pretty sure it was Stefan.

“Please hear our side before you make any decision!” It was the first time Kevin’s voice was so soft.

“Giselle!” came Riven’s voice.

I didn’t open the door. I couldn’t! I need time. I need to think about it!

How can this happen? The Famous Triplets are my Mates? Those three majestically hot guys hate me and I feel the same! But why am I feeling like this? Why am I so weak right now?

From the moment I entered this city and everywhere I went this last month, ‘Mate of the Triplets’ was always the hot topic. Every single she-wolf in this entire city wanted to be their mate. At first, they were confused if the triplets were going to have one or three different mates, but as they are monozygotic triplets, it was a given that they were going to have a single mate to share.

Every single girl was dying to be their mate. Then why am I their mate? I never wanted to come here, let alone be their mate and settle down here for the rest of my life!

I thought we had a mutual feeling that none of us liked each other. Then why were they looking at me like that? I will never confess it in front of anyone, but my heart was racing against my chest when their eyes met mine.

I was dragged out of my train of thoughts when Stefan’s sharp voice entered my auditory system, “Open the door, Giselle, or I will break it!”

It was followed by Kevin’s worried voice “Please talk to us, Giselle!”

“Ignore my brother, talk to me baby”, Stefan pleaded.

Although three of them have the same deep husky voice, but their way of talking was completely different and I am being their fated mate, I could differentiate between them really well.

The knocks turned into thuds in a fraction of seconds.

I covered my face. I had no idea what to do next. I sat on my bed and started pulling my hair in frustration.

Just when I thought I couldn’t do this anymore and I was about to shut, I heard a cold, deep voice from the other side of the door.

“Enough!” Alpha Riley’s voice echoed in the entire corridor.

“But dad..” It was Riven this time but Alpha Riley didn’t let him speak another word.

“Let the girl think. The more you try to clutch her between your palms, the more she will try to escape. She will think about it and let you know her decision. No more knocking on her door!” Alpha Riley commanded.

I waited there, sitting on my bed, without making a sound. I heard footsteps leaving the corridor. I could smell their cherry blossoms, the rosy and rich vanilla scent fading. I took a sigh of relief and lied down on my bed. At least, now I have time to think about it.

Suddenly, there was another knock on the door, but this time, it was a soft knock.

‘Is it them again?’ I thought in confusion.

“Giselle, baby, are you okay?” came my mum’s sweet yet concerned voice from the other side of the door.

I didn’t know why, but her motherly tone made my eyes teary. I got up from bed instantly and opened the door.

“Mum” I said in a breaking tone and hugged her immediately.

“Oh Gosh! Stop crying” She said, stroking my hair gently.
