Nanette huffed in frustration. “So we’re just supposed to let the real culprit walk away?”

Isadora shook her head.

Nanette pressed, “Then what are you planning to do?”

Isadora looked her in the eye. “Nanette, I need your help with something this time.”

Nanette leaned closer, listening as Isadora whispered in her ear.

“I’m in,” Nanette declared fiercely. “This time, I’ll make sure they regret crossing you!”

Presley and Colby Walsh returned home, both looking grim.

A housekeeper hurried over to take their coats.

Colby, barely containing his fury, slammed a stack of documents onto the coffee table. “I can’t believe this!”

Meade Walsh, supported by another staff member, slowly made his way out. He glanced at the scattered files, displeasure obvious on his stern face.

“What’s going on here? You come home and start throwing a tantrum? Have some self-respect!”

Meade was quiet for a moment, then let out a weary sigh. “Let’s just drop the North District project. Maybe it just wasn’t meant to be. We’ll have to accept the loss.”

Colby frowned. “Dad, it’s not even about the money anymore. Do you know what Victor’s doing now?”

“I just heard—the Fitzgerald Group is partnering with Vaultcrest Financial on the North District development.”

“Vaultcrest has been our main rival for years. If they get this deal, they’ll overtake us and become the biggest private bank in Capitolion!”

“Victor’s letting his emotions cloud his judgment—he’s completely disregarding our past ties! All because of what happened with Isadora, he’s deliberately targeting us.”
