Elisa knew what she needed to do.

She gestured with her hands and said, "Melinda, join us here."

Linda's eyes had been glued to Elisa and Will ever since Will went over to her. She didn't dare look them in the eye, but she knew what they were up to.

Just as she was lost in her thoughts contemplating her next action steps, Elisa called her over.

Linda continued to smile as she walked towards them.

She feigned confusion and asked Elisa in a timid voice, "Why did you call me?"

"I told Will that you're a friend of mine and that I need your help on the Western Suburbs project. Why don't you share your thoughts with him?" Elisa held onto Linda's hand, her voice soft and inviting.

Linda was stunned by Elisa's actions. She couldn't fathom why Elisa was being so friendly to her, especially since she knew that Elisa was testing her.

The way she was being kindly treated made it hard to believe that Elisa was trying to trick her.

Elisa pulled her gently towards her. "Why do you look so surprised? This project is important for you, isn't it? Friends are there to help each other out."

Will lowered his head and apologized to Linda, "Elisa has explained everything to me. I'm sorry if what I said earlier hurt your feelings."

"You don't need to. It's no big deal," Linda responded casually, brushing off his apology.

If Will was willing to talk to her about the project, there was no reason to turn him down. After all, this was her chance to get her hands on the project.

Will couldn't just brush aside Linda's ideas, especially since she was standing right in front of him.

Will understood Elisa's concerns and turned his attention back to Linda. "Ms. Garner, your ideas are very comprehensive, and I agree with you on all points. If we were to collaborate, could you assure me that the medical supplies will be efficiently provided and of the highest quality?"

"Sure, that's possible." Linda was confident that she could deliver.

"Ms. Garner, I need a proposal of your plans. Can you type it up and send it to me by tonight?" Will inquired.

"Of course!" Linda was not going to let this opportunity pass her by.

"What are your plans?" Will asked Elisa, ignoring Linda completely.
