Elisa closed her eyes and took a deep breath in. She tried her best to restrain her feelings.

Before he could say anything, Elisa said, “I’m going to see Grandma tonight.”
Gareth’s face sank abruptly. “What are you going to do?”
Elisa immediately sneered. “You asked me to visit Grandma often. What do you mean, what am I going to do?”
Gareth’s brows furrowed tightly. “Let’s go together after work.”
Elisa didn’t say anything and ended the call.
She knew Gareth was afraid she would tell on him, so he would go with her to see Grandma if she told him about it.
This was what she wanted.
Elisa was slightly on edge for the rest of the day. Even her work efficiency had somewhat decreased.

This was what Elisa thought. To other people, even if she was on edge, she was much more efficient at work than them.

Rumors spread about Gareth and Elisa’s encounter.
Not all the employees had left. They had baffled expressions when they noticed Elisa and Gareth walking one in front of the other. Some even secretly took pictures of the two figures for their friends.

On the way, Elisa and Gareth didn’t say a word as he drove.
When they arrived at Wickam Manor, Elisa didn’t look at Gareth. She opened the car door and walked into the villa.
When Mr. Jones saw that Elisa had arrived, a gentle smile was on his lips. “Hello, Ms. Benett.”
Elisa smiled and nodded. “Hello, Mr. Jones.”
Mr. Jones immediately stepped aside and said respectfully, “Please come in.”
Elisa smiled again and didn’t say anything as she walked into the villa.
Julia knew that Elisa was coming over. She sat on the couch joyfully and waved at Elisa.
“Girl, come quick and sit next to me.”
