"Give me back my phone!"

Rachel sounded slightly upset. She did not like it when people looked at her phone. Moreover, this was a text from Elisa to her.

Luckily, Elisa did not mention Gareth. If she did, I might be blamed too.

Rachel reached out and snatched her phone back. Gareth walked out quietly with a sullen face.

Vincent chased up to him and asked, "Where are you going?"

Rachel frowned. She had a bad premonition about this. Gareth had left with a sullen face. He looked outraged. Would he look for Elisa and make her pay for this?

Rachel immediately felt worried for Elisa.

"Is he going after Elisa? Don't he need to stay back for work? I can look for her!"

Rachel was afraid that Gareth would want Elisa to pay for this. But when Vincent heard Rachel's intention to leave, his face darkened too.

He said, "Let me send you."

There was a complicated look in Rachel's eyes. The two had just argued yesterday. Yet, Vincent offered to send her today. Rachel knew that he did that to make up to her. She hesitated a while before answering him.

"It's alright. I'll take a cab myself."

"It will take forever for you to flag a cab here. How long do you want to wait? Moreover, Gareth will be driving very fast. Are you sure you can find Elisa before he does if you don't receive help from me?"

Rachel went quiet immediately. What Vincent said was indeed correct.

"Tidy your stuff and hurry. We shall leave now."

Rachel immediately replied to the text since her call couldn't get through.

— Rachel: 'Why did you leave without saying goodbye? Why in the middle of the night? Did you only send me the text after you had left? What happened? Why did you leave by yourself?'

— Elisa: 'A small incident happened yesterday indeed. And I have something I need to settle urgently today.'

— Rachel: 'Have you arrived?'

Rachel stared at her phone screen and waited for Elisa's reply. She could finally breathe a sigh of relief after she received Elisa's location. Elisa had got home safely.

Although Vincent was driving, he was aware of Rachel's actions. When he saw Rachel sigh in relief, he spoke gently, "Have you managed to reach her?"

"Yes, I have. She is fine."
