Chapter 841

She instantly returned to her senses and smiled at him mockingly. "You don't have to do that. I will be fine, and I'm sure Grandma wouldn't blame you. You can leave now."

Gareth looked slightly greenish as he suppressed liis urge to strangle her. Without another word, he headed upstairs.

Elisa's frown tightened, feeling annoyed as she watched him walk away.

There was nothing she could do to chase him away. After hesitating, she ignored him and returned to her room. We are like strangers now, yet we have to live under the same roof. If Vincent and Jeremy knew this, they would undoubtedly tease him - especially Vincent.

Late at night, Gareth still did not feel sleepy at all. He coughed uncontrollably with a frown on his face. Regardless, he didn't say anything and took a deep breath to suppress the urge to cough before closing liis eyes.

The next day, Elisa thought Gareth would leave after waking up. When she went down to prepare breakfast, she was shocked to find food on the table, with Gareth sitting in front of it.

When he saw her, he said coolly, "Come over for breakfast."

Elisa's brows knitted together upon seeing that. He's been acting odd these few days. What on earth does he want? Is he doing this purely because of Grandma? He should know that I'm fine.

She made her way to the dining table without responding.

He's probably leaving after breakfast.

With that thought in mind, she tolerated his presence. However, she was wrong - he had no intentions of leaving.

As soon as they finished breakfast, the doorbell rang. Thomas had sent all the necessary documents for Gareth to work there.

Nevertheless, he had no inclination to leave, so he made himself clear by staring back at Thomas firmly.

Alright, alright. I understand.

He nodded at Elisa awkwardly and left.

Though it was unfair to her, he was Gareth's assistant. He had to take Gareth's orders.

Apart from that, the relationship between Gareth and Elisa had been complicated. It was not wise for him to intervene. If Gareth wanted to leave, he would call Thomas again.

No matter what, I have to go now. I can't stay here any longer.
