The diagnosis for Lenora was a minor concussion. She would be fine after resting for a couple of days. 

Besides, Lenora’s body was covered in various bruises and external injuries. The doctor had prescribed her an ointment to promote blood circulation and reduce swelling. 

Zachary held the ointment in his hand. Turning to Lenora, he said, “Let’s go. I’ll take you back to the hotel.” 

Lenora glanced a few times at the ointment in Zachary’s hand. However, Zachary acted as if he hadn’t. noticed. Instead, he put the ointment into his own pocket. 

Lenora could only say, “Give me the ointment. I’ll go back on my own.” 

Zachary looked at her with a displeased gaze. “Are you discarding someone after using them?” 

Feeling guilty, Lenora averted her gaze and put on a brave face. “I’ve already gone through the check–up. I’m fine. I can get back to the hotel on my own. If you escort me, Soph might see us,” she said. 

“What’s the issue if she saw us? Can’t we not be seen together?” 

“Well, you’re the one who cannot be seen.” 

Zachary chuckled. “Let me put it differently, then. I’m heading back to the hotel, and I can give you a lift

Lenora reached into her pocket and pulled out a keycard. With a swift swipe and a soft beep, the door was 

open. 

She was about to turn her head and speak to Zachary when a strong force suddenly hit her from behind.

Lenora gritted her teeth. “Zachary! You’ve deceived me again!” 

If she ever put her trust in Zachary again, she’d be a complete fool. 

A glint of triumphant amusement flashed in Zachary’s eyes. He raised a finger to his lips. “Shh…” 

Lenora was about to say something more when she heard Sophia’s voice from outside. “Nora, you’re back? What did the doctor say?” 

Lenora tightly shut her mouth, glaring at Zachary. 

After a while, Sophia was heard muttering to herself, “Huh? Could it be that I heard it wrong?” 

As soon as Sophia returned to her room, Lenora immediately pushed Zachary away. “Get out!” 

Without any change in his expression, Zachary took the ointment from her hand and sat down by the couch. As he opened the ointment box, he said, “I’ll help you apply the medicine, and once that’s done, I’ll leave.”

area. 

“Ah!” Lenora sharply inhaled, caught off guard by the sudden pain. “Zachary, can’t you be a bit more gentle!” 

“Sorry. You told me to hurry, and I forgot to be gentle,” Zachary said, calmly squeezing out a bit more ointment. 

Lenora couldn’t help but shoot him another two glares. Zachary, this scoundrel, is definitely doing it on purpose! 

The ointment was applied to the skin, and it was cooling and soothing. 

Upon lifting her gaze, Lenora saw Zachary’s serious expression. His eyes were focused and completely absorbed as if dealing with a matter of great importance. 

From Lenora’s perspective, Zachary’s eyelashes were long and thick, each one distinctly visible. His nose was high and prominent, his features sharply defined. 

Suddenly, Zachary lifted his gaze, locking eyes with Lenora.
