Gary covered his eyes, letting out a pained cry.

Subsequently, she feigned drunkenness, only to find that she could not escape from Susanna’s scheme. Yet, Susanna did not harbor any suspicions.

In reality, Lenora could have safely left under the protection of Kyle and his team. However, she chose to risk danger for the sole purpose of gaining leverage over Susanna.

In her pocket, she still had a voice recorder. The entire conversation between Susanna and Gary had been fully recorded.

Half an hour later, the medical team, along with the hotel front desk manager, arrived and hosted Gary onto the ambulance.

When Lenora descended with them, she caught sight of a suspicious figure lurking at the fire exit. She felt a sense of relief, glad that she made the right move

Upon recognizing him, Susanna was taken aback for a moment. She answered the call and asked, “What’s wrong? Has something happened?”

The person on the other end of the phone fell silent for a moment. “An ambulance just came and took Gary away.” 

Oh well, he was an overweight man in his forties. Susanna wasn’t surprised at all that this happened!”

Every time she was with Gary, it felt to her like an agonizing torment.

The thought that Lenora would face the same fate brought much relief to Susanna’s mood.

“I just took a closer look earlier, Gary’s clothes were intact, but someone had cracked his head open…”

She remembered, after switching on the camera, she had a brief conversation with Gary.

If Lenora had reported it to the police or made it public. the situation would have been unimaginable.

However, she speculated that Lenora probably wouldn’t call the police, but would negotiate with her instead…
