“Mr. Webster, you are a funny man.” Donahue raised his eyebrows. His eyes grew cold, and he still sounded calm. “I will see to it and take care of Janet. Mr. Webster, you don’t have to pull a stunt.”

“Mr. Smedley, if you don’t tell me, how will you know if I am pulling a stunt or not? Maybe I can do what you can’t do,” Nathaniel was unhappy, and he said

with a cold smile.

“Mr. Webster, it seems that you want to interfere.”

Donahue’s cold gaze made Nathaniel feel a chill run down his spine. It was terrifyingly cold, but he would never be frightened by Donahue’s imposing manner. He opened his mouth coldly and said, “Of course.”

After a long while, Donahue seemed to have thought of something, and an unknown emotion flashed through his eyes.

“If so, Mr. Webster, promise me one thing. As long as you can do it, maybe I can consider telling you about Janet.”

“OK,” Nathaniel said without hesitation.

Watching Nathaniel turn around and leave the ward, Donahue smiled coldly.

After Nathaniel came out, he didn’t go back to see Janet.

He figured that she didn’t want him there anyway, so he might as well leave.

Just as he was about to go downstairs, he bumped into Alfred.

When Alfred saw Nathaniel, he heaved a sigh of relief and came up to Nathaniel, sizing Nathaniel up nervously. “Mr. Webster, are you alright?”

Alfred thought, I was so terrified after knowing that Mr. Webster had come to

find Ms. Longfellow

know?”

Nathaniel got into the car and said firmly, “Monopoly.”

“Mr. Webster, it won’t be easy. Please think again,” Alfred reminded in a low

voice, looking reluctant.

Nathaniel was unmoved and looked at the street scenery outside, not taking Alfred’s worry seriously at all.

That night, Beacher secretly brought Janet her miniature computer here.
