Lucy was still half-asleep as she spoke groggily, “I slept earlier than you last night even though you’re much busier with work.”

“You spent the entire day sketching by the beach yesterday. It must’ve been tiring. You just didn’t realize it. You were obviously lying when you said you weren’t tired at the café yesterday.”

Although Lucy went to bed early yesterday, her dark circles were still prominent.

“I still feel like sleeping. What should I do?”

“Lulu, just hold on a bit longer! I’ll drive you home, and you can nap as long as you want.” Matthew said with concern.

“Okay. Thank you, Matt.”

Lucy finished washing up in the bathroom and came out for breakfast. As they were about to get into the car and leave the hotel, they heard Linus’ voice.

“Lucy, I didn’t expect to see you here.”

“Linus? Why haven’t you left yet?”

Lucy keenly noticed Matthew's mood swings, but he still refused to admit it.

“I’m not upset. You’re overthinking, Lulu.”

Matthew turned the steering wheel, almost crashing the car into a tree.

“You say you’re not upset, but you’re driving so recklessly!”

Lucy urged him to be more careful while driving so that he would not keep getting distracted.

Matthew held her hand and reassured her, “Don’t worry. I’m a good driver.”

The two continued chatting happily along the way, and soon, they arrived at the Leons' residence.
