Samantha plopped herself down in the seat behind Noelle and whispered coldly, "You're so dead after class."
Xenia sat next to Samantha, her gaze locked on Noelle with hatred. She couldn't wait to see Samantha humiliate Noelle later—there was no escaping this time.
As the class began, the students opened their textbooks, ready for the lecture.
Noelle, however, took out her phone, intending to embed a small program into the campus forum. She was determined to make those trolls pay and show them she wasn't someone to mess with.
Samantha noticed Noelle using her phone and immediately called out to the teacher, "Mr. Yade, Noelle didn't bring her textbook and is playing on her phone!"
Noelle calmly put her phone away.
Patrick glanced at Noelle's desk and noticed it was empty. He frowned and asked, "Ms. Liddell, is there a problem?"
"No, Mr. Yade. Sorry, I forgot to bring my books," Noelle admitted calmly.
Xenia seized the opportunity to escalate things. "Noelle, I know you've always received special treatment because of your good grades, but at least bring your textbook—it's basic respect to Mr. Yade."
Samantha sneered. "Noelle, are you so confident in yourself that you don't even bother bringing a textbook? What a terrible example for us classmates—a real bad influence on campus!"
Patrick glanced at Noelle, his tone firm as he said, "Noelle, you seem quite confident. Why don't you come up and solve the question I just put on the board? It might be a bit challenging for you, but let's hear your thoughts."
Noelle glanced at the question displayed on the screen, then walked to the front without hesitation. She picked up a chalk and began writing her solution on the board.
Samantha, still smugly confident, sneered, "That's just nonsense scribbled on the board! Right, Mr. Yade?"
Patrick shook his head and replied, "Her answer is flawless. This was one of the questions prepared for the final exam."
The classroom fell into stunned silence. Was Noelle Liddell some kind of genius? How could she solve a final exam question without even starting the course?
Xenia refused to believe it. "Noelle, I know you have a great memory and can memorize things after seeing them once. But cheating isn't the answer," she said, her voice sweet and innocent despite the accusation.
Xenia highly doubted that Noelle had the skills to solve the problem, and she was convinced she must have memorized the answer beforehand.
