"My baby daughter, what's the matter?"

Xenia gripped the phone and made her request. "I need you to help me destroy a piece of surveillance footage. Go to the police station and steal it."

"Did you leave behind any evidence? I can help you, but you blocked me last time, and that really hurt."

"Enough with the talk! Help me this one time, and I won't block you again. I'll make sure you get something out of it."

Xenia was desperate. The only person she could think of was this man who claimed to be her father, though his background remained unclear.

It didn't matter if he was truly her father—if he could help her, then she'd use him.

"No problem. I'll take care of it."

The call ended, and Xenia immediately deleted the call history.

She checked on Frank's breathing, then quickly dialed Donovan's number. Her voice was laced with fake sobs. "Donovan, something bad happened to Frank!"

"What happened? Don't cry, calm down."

"Frank came to check on Noelle earlier, asking about her at school. They got into an argument, and Frank fainted from anger. What should I do?"

Xenia cried on the other end of the line, her voice full of distress.

Donovan's tone turned sharp. "Call 911 first, and give me the address."

After hanging up, Xenia wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes, amazed at her own acting skills.

She turned and looked at Frank, a mocking smile spreading across her face.

As long as the video was destroyed, no one would believe anything Frank said. After all, Donovan still hated Noelle and would only believe her side of the story.

She wasn't going to give up easily.

Meanwhile, Noelle was at the police station with Cedric.

She was in an unusually good mood. She glanced around at the car they were in. "You got a new car? It's different from the one we were in last time."

A faint smile curled at the corner of his lips. "You're right, there are many good girls."

Noelle's heart skipped a beat. Did he just admit it? Her face flushed for a brief moment.

What did that comment mean?

Suddenly, Noelle looked up and saw a van swerving out of control, heading straight toward them!

Time seemed to slow down.

"Cedric, watch out!" she screamed.

Cedric saw the van speeding toward them and instinctively swerved the steering wheel, positioning himself to shield Noelle in the passenger seat.

"Bang!"

Noelle felt like her ears were blasted with sound, and her body was nearly thrown out of her seat. Luckily, the seatbelt held her tightly in place.
