After Alfred left, Noelle searched up Samantha. Like always, information about her had been suppressed. However, the videos of her bullying others had left their mark on the internet. They couldn't be erased completely.

Noelle hacked into Samantha's phone again, only to realize that there was nothing left. It looked like the Merlocks realized that something was off and destroyed Samantha's phone.

Her gaze turned icy. She would wait for Samantha to be punished. If she wasn't, Noelle would do it herself.

At night, Noelle found herself unable to fall asleep. Every time she closed her eyes, she saw Cedric turning the wheel to bear the impact of the crash in her place.

If it turned out to be a fatal crash, he would've been the one to die.

Finally, she got out of bed and went to take a look at Cedric by sneaking into his room. His pale complexion saddened her.

Cedric must've lost a lot of blood. Noelle took his hand. It was cold to the touch.

She said unhappily, "Cedric, you must get well soon. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have dragged you into this. After all, you're just a normal guy. There's no way you'd be able to emerge victorious against these wealthy people. I'm sorry!"

Noelle pressed his palm to her cheek. "Cedric, please wake up."

"Instead of sleeping, you came to find me in the dead of the night, wailing like a kid. If a stranger saw, he'd think I was permanently paralyzed."

Noelle froze. She turned to see Cedric staring at her.

She stuttered, "Y-you're up. Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere?"

"No."

"But you didn't wake up."

"I fell asleep out of exhaustion."

After ascertaining that he seemed to be alright, Noelle felt relieved. "I feel better now that you've woken up."

"Were you wounded on your forehead?"

As she laid in bed, she could see Cedric's face in her mind's eye and recall their accident.

Then, fragmented scenes of another accident that happened a long time ago flashed through her head. She dreamt that she was trapped in the car. Cedric showed up to save her.

When she woke up, she realized that her face was wet with tears. Noelle hadn't dreamt of that accident for a long time. Perhaps because of the recent crash, Cedric appeared in that dream. Her memory had probably overlapped.

Noelle's phone rang. She picked up and asked, "Hi, who's speaking?"

"Noelle, which hospital are you in? Frank would like to see you," Lucas said.

"I'm doing fine. I'd be even better if you didn't show up."

After a moment of hesitation, he said, "You said that this wasn't over. Do you have evidence?"

He wanted to know what was happening and see the evidence.
