However, Noelle had just left. Cedric probably wasn't one to text her that quickly. There had to be someone else.

Laura had to ask Alfred about this.

She called Alfred. "Alfred, was the woman in the accident with Cedric the one I saw yesterday?"

"No, I wouldn't be dumb enough to leave her in this hospital for you all to find her. Ask Cedric about this. I won't reveal anything."

Alfred immediately hung up and patted his chest. What a close call!

Noelle took a cab straight back to campus. The first thing she did upon stepping onto campus was to call Xenia and ask, "Have you been sleeping well for the past few days?"

"Is that you, Noelle? Why are you calling me?"

Noelle replied in a lively tone, "Let's catch up. After all, blood is thicker than water."

"I–I've got class later. I don't have time for that."

Xenia had a bad feeling about this. If Noelle had called to question her, she would've felt fine. However, Noelle's tone was making her uneasy.

She giggled and said, "You don't want to come? In that case, I've got no choice but to send my evidence!"

"What evidence? Do you have backup copies? No, if you did, you would've taken it out a long time ago."

"I'll see you on the balcony."

Noelle hung up immediately without offering any explanations. However, she knew Xenia would show up.

She went to the balcony of the business building. It wasn't locked, and there were chairs and recliners placed there. It looked like life in the business school was quite relaxing.

Noelle chuckled and stood before the railing, watching Xenia struggle.

"If my guess isn't wrong, you wanted to push me to my death so that no one would find out about the evidence I have, right?'

"N–no! I just wanted to say hi to you!"

Xenia was sobbing. She didn't want to die!

Noelle patted her cheeks and said, "Did you think I'd believe what you're saying?"

"However, if something happens to me here, you won't escape scotch free. My friends from the business department know that I came here to meet you. You'll be the murderer if I die!"

"Is that a threat?"

Noelle let go. Xenia screamed and grabbed the railings. Her toes cling around the short part of the roof sticking out of the building, which was why she hadn't fallen down.
