Noelle met Donovan's gaze and smiled faintly. "Let the event finish first. It's not urgent. Besides, with so many people watching, that plagiarist can't escape!"

"Noelle, be careful with your words!" Donovan was furious. How dare she call him a plagiarist?

Originally, using Noelle's ideas wasn't part of his plan. It was a last-minute change.

Noelle just smirked and returned to her seat with her colleagues. The other companies continued to present.

Her response left the Maple Enterprise team stunned. The colleague who had earlier questioned Noelle now sat there with his head lowered in silence.

The team leader cautiously spoke up. "Noelle, Mr. Liddell is still your brother. Are you really going to pursue this matter?"

Noelle's unexpected determination caught them off guard. She was a rich young lady, but she was so sharp and relentless, giving no leeway to others.

"I've already severed ties with him. He's no longer my brother," Noelle replied coldly.

The leader hesitated. "He's still your brother."

"Exactly! He's so wealthy. Isn't it a waste to sever ties?"" another chimed in. Most people would dream of having a rich sibling.

Noelle's patience wore thin. "I don't need your advice. As the technical leader for this project, I will hold whoever plagiarized us accountable!"

Her firm stance silenced the room.

Xenia began crying. "Donovan, I was tricked, too—just like you."

Lucas glared at Xenia. "No, you were the one who got tricked. I should've stopped you when I first noticed something was off, but instead, I let you convince me to go along with it."

Xenia felt a chill down her spine. Sobbing, she said, "Donovan, I wasn't thinking straight. You two have been working so hard dealing with the Merlocks because of Noelle.

"I thought if Noelle failed, she'd realize how tough things are outside and come back to the Liddells. Sorry, Donovan. I didn't mean for any of this to happen."

Donovan yanked at his tie in frustration. "How am I supposed to explain that? Figure out how to fix this!"

Lucas glanced at Xenia, then turned to Donovan. "Donovan, this isn't on me. It was Xenia who stole Noelle's ideas from her computer!"
