Camila

After pulling myself together, I hit the doorbell of Bianca’s apartment. She doesn’t have any idea what I did last night other than going to the car show with Pyke.

I hear a rustling sound from the inside when I ring the doorbell again. I take a deep breath and ready myself to her rant once she knows everything.

The door swings open, but to my surprise, it’s not Bianca—a tattoo of red dragon run from his hipbone to his pierced belly button down to his V that barely covered by his opened fly jeans. Both arms are covered with tattoos of different Celtics designs and Cyrillic scripts.

“Kill, is that the pizza guy?” I immediately recognize Bianca’s voice from the inside.

I skim my eyes up to see my half-naked cousin in front of me. Our gazes lock—he looks shocked to see me, too. He drops his gaze immediately, and I can see the guilt plasters on his face. His throat bobs as he swallows hard.

My eyes move to Bianca who’s wearing my cousin’s black shirt. She freezes in her place. My breathing gets heavy, and my face heats with anger. I know what exactly means by this—it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this out. But the question is, when did they start doing this behind my back?

Bianca finally regains her composure. “Cam, let me explain,” she talks in a shaky voice, walks toward the door, and stops in front of me. Kyland remains tongue-tied.

“Explain what? That I just found out about your affair with my cousin. When are you gonna plan on telling me? That you two are fucking behind my back.”

“Camila!” Kyland roars. “Don’t say something like that to your best friend.” His jaw tightens.

“Oh, really? I thought she hates guys, so was it just your facade? So that I won’t suspect you two sleeping together?” I look at the two of them—Bianca’s tears fall down her face. Kyland’s hand slips on her waist, kissing the top of her head.

“Oh, my God! I can’t believe you two lied and fooled me. I thought of you, Bianca is better than this. I can’t believe you did this to me. How could you lie to me? Did you even value our friendship?” Tears well in my eyes as I speak.

“It’s all my fault, Cam. I’m the one who stops her from telling you,” Kyland interjects.

“Because you’re just gonna use her? Then throw her like how you and Pyke did to all those women you slept with?”

“I’m not like Hughes, Camila. I love your best friend. I love Bianca,” Kyland defensive tone clogs my throat, but it doesn’t change the fact that they hide their relationship from me.

“Love? And yet you don’t wanna let me know.”

“Because I know how it will upset you,” he answers, shrugging.

“And you chose to wait until I find out by myself instead? Since when the two of you become so secretive? I trusted you Kyland, and you Bianca.” I look at them back and forth. “How could you both do this to me?” My voice shakes.

“Cam, I’m sorry. Kyland wants to tell you after we... confirm—” Bianca hesitates.

My eyes widen. “Confirm what?” I ask, blinking. I can barely see them through my unshed tears.

Kyland sighs deeply. “B is possibly pregnant.”

My jaw drops. There is a moment of silence, I even forget how to breathe. My body shakes at this sudden turn of event. They must have been sleeping together for a long time. Because I trusted them that no one would cross the line, I never have suspected them. I was wrong. I am wrong.

I raise my hand up when Bianca moves closer to me. “Don’t, Bianca.” I can’t fight the tears that are forming in my eyes. “G-good luck to the two of you.”

I stride away, ignoring them calling my name. I thought they won’t lie to me. My only cousin and the only brother I consider is sleeping with my best friend behind my back. They betrayed me. And now they’re expecting a baby. Oh. My. God.

I get inside Xandry’s car, slamming the steering wheel to release the anger and frustration swirling inside me.

I sob harder until I release the frustrations out of my system. I tried to recall the way they look at each other. I even warned Kyland once, but he still chose to be with her.

Am I so selfish for stopping them? No one can control someone who he or she likes. It’s a twisted fate, and even myself is a victim of it.

I launch myself to Megan and cry in her arms without uttering a word. I find her hands rubbing my back.

“Cam, what’s wrong? What happened?” She’s worried. The more she asks, the more I sob.

“Calm down, Cam. Let’s talk about this, okay?”

I break the hug and make my way toward her purple couch, slumping down dramatically. I wrap my arms around my knees, hugging them tightly. I try harder controlling my sob until it sounds like a grunt of a pig that makes Megan burst into a laugh.

“Not funny,” I complain, hitting her thigh playfully.

“Are you done crying? Are you ready to tell me what’s going on? I know you’ve been hiding something from us, Cam. Let me call Bianca to come.”

“Don’t!” I hold her hand quickly before she can stand up.

“Why?” she asks, looking at me quizzically. Then she suddenly looks surprised. “Oh, my God. How did you know?”

“Wait, you knew all this time?” I am quicker to be on my feet, narrowing my eyes to her.

She slowly nods to confirm. Her lips quirk into a sad smile.

“And you did not tell me? Nobody tells me! Seriously? Who am I to all of you? Am I this worthless bitch that you can’t share your secrets with, and that nobody trusts me? Did you all even consider me as a friend?”

Megan heavily sighs. “I promised to them months ago,” she says silently.

Meg squeezes my hand. “So, asshole Xandry agreed with you?”

“Like he has a choice,” I snort.

“They deserve to lose, Cam, but did you regret sleeping with him?” A wicked smile spread across her lips.

I look at her intently. “Do I look like a whore? I mean, for sleeping him, because I wanted to win?” I ask without breaking my gaze to read her reaction.

She shakes her head instantly. “You’re not a whore, that serves them right and as long as you enjoy the night with him.” She waggles her brows. “Now, spill the deets.”

I roll my eyes.

“He’s huge, isn’t he? Did he take it slow or did he fuck your pussy till raw?” She giggles.

My face heats to the moment where Pyke was between my legs—my body reacts. My muscles tighten.

“Oh, my God. Did he tongue-fuck you?” she asks again, but I know she knows the answer—she can clearly see it on my face.

“I’m not used to share my sex life, Megan.”

She laughs out loud, throwing her head back. “Now you have a sex life, huh?”

I hit her hand. “Stop it! That’s not funny.”

“Oh, it is, but you had fun last night, hadn’t you? How many times did he make you come, Cum-ila?”

“Why would I tell you?” I fake my annoyance.

“That’s what best friend do, share secrets.”

“But you managed to keep their secrets from me.”

“And you managed to plan all these without me.”

“I’m sorry, Meg. I know how you would react, and I need to do that.”

“As long as you’re satisfied with the outcome and you don’t feel being used.”
