The guard looked at me with a conflicted expression. I wasn't trying to make things difficult for him, but he was a tough one to crack.
"If you don't want to go suddenly missing in this city, I'd suggest you do as I say."
"I'll make a copy of the footage for you right away." The security guard went to work immediately.
I looked at the footage with a darkened gaze.
When I was walking by the classroom, I bumped into that teacher. He had a wide smile and gentle gaze, yet somehow, he looked rather creepy.
I knocked on the door. "Mr. Dawson, right?"
Quentin Dawson turned to look at me nervously. Since he was a teacher there, he surely knew who I was.
"Mr. Joplin, what are you doing here?"
"Of course, I'm looking for you."
Murphy had gotten me information on him in less than ten minutes. Quentin had a prior record of convictions, but he was only detained for one month.
"I'm still in the middle of class—"
"Mr. Dawson, I believe you won't want your reputation ruined."
Quentin looked a little terrified. He instructed the students to study on their own while he followed me out of the classroom.
I led him to an empty classroom and said directly, "Mr. Dawson, you've led a very colorful life." I threw evidence and documents at him. "You previously held another job at another school, but you were there for less than a year."
Quentin's face paled, and he was sweating profusely.
"Those rumors have been cleared up," Quentin said rather agitatedly. His face soon flushed a violent shade of red.
"Cleared up? But there were other incidents too, no?"
"I don't have the time for you to tell me." I punched him in the face, causing him to spit two teeth out.
"Take this." I pinned him against the wall with one hand and punched him another time in his abdomen.
He let out a muffled grunt as blood streamed out of his mouth. If it were not for a parent who stopped me, I would've probably killed him on the spot. But even then, that would be way too easy of an out for him.
"Mr. Joplin, what are you doing?" A fat woman placed herself right in front of Quentin, blocking him from my view.
I roughly knew who this woman was. She was infamous for being unreasonable in school.
"That's none of your business." I was never polite to people like her. "Move aside." I waved my hands at her. The fewer people who knew about this, the better.
"You can't hit Mr. Dawson."
"Your precious Mr. Dawson is a criminal. Are you sure you still want to protect him?"
