Ours novel Chapter 27

Nala POV

I woke up alone, in a strange bed, this wasn’t mine nor the twins nor Christian. So where did I fall asleep this time, looking around I think I slept in Stefan room after last night but he's not here. I must have fallen asleep on our way home. Trying not to feel hurt I get up and go to my room to get ready.

An outfit is already waiting for me on the bed, Kyle doing for sure. I was also dressed in one of Stefan shirt with shorts of mine. I really should work on not falling asleep like that again.

I take a shower change and then I head to Kyle's room so he can do my hair, yeah I'm being spoiled when it comes to my hair, I love having it brushed and nobody did that for me since I was eight.

"Kyle where's Stefan?” I ask trying to act nonchalant.

"He got a call this morning and had to go" Kyle answer me.

"Ohh okay," I say trying to hide that I'm hurt but after yesterday I thought Stefan would be there for me in the morning when I woke up. But I guess being a doctor and all that he’s busy, I’m not hurt…

Walking to the kitchen I sit and a bowl of oat is set in front of me. Yeah, not going to happen. I'm moving the mush on my plate pretending to eat.

"Eat Nala" Jace tell me noticing that I hardly touched my food.

"Not hungry" I reply

"Try and eat a little" Jace tries again

"When Stefan coming back?" I ask trying to avoid eating.

"Stefan at work baby girl" Christian informs me.

I can't help it and I pout and move my plate away giving up on pretending.

"I don't feel well I'm going to lie down" I inform the guys and leave the kitchen.

Stefan POV

It's been a busy morning one of the pack members went in to labor and I had to go and help. Being a pack doctor means I'll help everyone regardless of their need or emergencies.

I hear my phone ringing, duty calls.

"Hello"

"Stefan, what's wrong with Nala?" Christian asks going straight to the point.

"What do u mean what's wrong?" I ask not understanding.

"She's not eating, she's asking about you all morning" Christian says frustrated.

"We talked last night, we had fun and I got her home I don't know what you mean alpha"

"Ughh Stefan I know you're a busy man but do you think you can spare a few hours to spend with the baby? Christian is full of pleading with me.

"I don't want to say no, but I'm really busy today with the free clinic"

"Hey don't you use some help from the pack sometimes" Christian ask

"Yeah true"

"How about the help you today, I'll send someone from the pack to keep an eye on her." Christian offer.

"Yeah okay send her over"

I was really busy I didn't want to have time to keep an eye on Nala too, she can be a curious puppy who’ll demand my whole attention. But if the alpha is calling that means she's giving them hell at home.

An hour later I had Nala and lily one of the pack mate over to help me.

It's not the first time lily help, so she knows what she's doing at least that's a relief. She can task Nala with smaller things while keeping an eye on her plus she’s a nice girl I’m sure those two will become fast friends.
