Nala POV

After we returned home jenny and her parent left to see their new house and start moving in.

I'm back at Christian office and it's just me and him, he wants my opinion on Jennifer and if I think it's a good idea to let them move in, they usually take my opinion after they made their decision but if I say no then whoever wants to move in is out. Anyone who makes me feel uncomfortable isn’t welcomed here.

"Daddy, why didn't you tell me about Jenny not being able to shift yet? And is that normal" I ask curiously about my new friend.

"She told you?" Christian ask with disbelief.

"Yes, she told me now answer my question" I huff annoyed.

"Watch your tone princess, Luna, or not I can still take you over my knee for attitude adjustment" Christian threaten in a low voice.

Yeah, he never has to yell to scare me and his threat is never something to mess with. I lower my eyes and say a quick sorry.

"I didn't tell you cause it's something private I didn't want to embarrass her, she'd been bullied before" Christian explains

"And you think I'll bully her??" I ask shocked and mad at the accusation.

"Last warning watch your tone. And no I didn't think you will bully her, I wanted to give her a fair shot to make friends" he says.

I'm plain hurt now "you know I wouldn't bully or think badly of her, we ran into Jesse and he said some mean words to her and I stood up for her. I even asked her to be my friend, cause that what you guys taught me to help the weeks. But thank you very much for your trust" I finish and leave the office.

I can hear him calling my name but I ignore him too mad at him right now and he let it go for now.

I move to the kitchen needing some sugar to help me calm down. I know Mathew my other brother and Zach mate keep Oreos somewhere in the cabinets, it’s hidden from Jace who’s a health freak. Of course, he'll put it on the top shelf where I can’t reach.

I'm standing on the counter, on my tiptoes trying to catch the cookies when a stern voice come from behind me.

"What do you think you're doing Nala?"

The voice scared me and made me jump I almost fell on my bum when Jace catch me before I fell. The cookies still clutched in my hand.

"Oreos before dinner Nala?" Jace asks with a raised eyebrow and snatches my cookies away. I try to take them back but he doesn't give them back, stating that it will ruin my appetite and that I'm not eating enough.

I storm out of the kitchen and go to my room which yes is princess themed, I go straight to jade my eight-foot-tall teddy bear I sit on his lap, put my earphones on with very loud music and start to plan my revenge. I'm mad at all of them.

Christian POV

The day passed slowly, I haven't seen Nala since she left my office. At least I'm glad she made friend with the new pup, she could use some girlfriends closer to her age, Jennifer is forty-five, our first shift is usually at thirty-some might be late like Jennifer and we become adult at the age of fifty so in comparison Nala and the pup is very close in age since Nala is almost eighteen.

I walk into the kitchen and the Nala is nowhere in sight, weird since she usually helps Jace setting the table and making the dinner.

"Nala dinner is ready" Jace calls her
