Ours novel Chapter 41

Jennifer POV

I woke up with a gasp, I look around me and I'm in a bedroom, the walls are beige and the curtains are baby blue, I'm sleeping in a bed with a blue blanket on top of me. Where am I? It takes me a few minutes to recognize my surroundings. I'm in my own room in our new home.

I still get nightmares and I wake up disoriented, but when I remember we left that hell place we used to call home, a big smile break on my face, the sky is blue the sun is shining what a wonderful day.

I take a quick shower and get dressed for the days choosing yoga pants and an oversized hoodie I leave my hair down since it helps to hide behind it when I'm anxious, not shifting to wolf means my bruised body take forever to heal and I don't want to talk about them yet.

I decide to make breakfast for my parents, they took so much shit for me, to protect me. The least I can do is breakfast. When my parent walks in and see me they both smile, I was always a morning person and it's been so long since I actually enjoyed waking up.

The sound of knocking startle me, but then in this pack everyone is so friendly, nothing to be afraid of, I go to open the door to find a very grumpy looking Nala and a smiling Stefan.

"Good morning Jennifer I'm here to check on your mother cast," Dr. Stefan says.

Of course, Stefan would come to check on my mother, I've been here around a week and I'm seeing a pattern about how good the most dominant wolf treats the rest.

"What are you smiling about? The sun hadn't risen yet" Luna says annoyed

"It has Luna, want some coffee," I ask her with a smile.

"You really are a witch and yes to coffee" she replies with a smile

"If you want coffee you going to have to eat first little one, the cast can go off Theresa is there somewhere private for us to work in?" Dr. Stefan warns her before he turns to my mother.

They leave the kitchen and we sit down for breakfast and coffee. Nala is too busy making kissy faces to her mug to notice that my father is there.

"Good morning luna," my father says startling her.

"Ohh morning" she replies and goes back to nursing her coffee, well someone isn't a morning person.

By the time we finished our breakfast, mum and Stefan are back, the coffee is gone and Nala is looking much more alive.

"Ready to go little girl or you staying," Stefan asks her.

"Staying, I need to go to the mall and buy Lilly a graduation gift" then she looks at me and asks "want to come"

I look over at dad, he told me not to get attached to the Luna but I really want to go out with her. When he sees my pleading eyes and how normal Nala looks he nods and I'm flying from happiness, I have never been to the mall before.
