Chapter 4: The Most Precious Person

He wore a military uniform, his features were handsome, his thin lips were pursed in straight lines and his expression was serious and overpowering.

Mariana carefully lifted the photo album and her fingertips gently traced the silhouette of the man on the other side of the glass, as she fell into deep thought. She repressed her emotions with difficulty and tucked the album into her suitcase, cautiously guarding her most important treasure.

For the next week, she did not meet Leopoldo again. To be precise, it should be that after the two had sex, Leopoldo never returned.

Three days later, Mariana boarded a plane to a foreign destination and left the capital temporarily.
