Tyler had his gaze fixated on Nadine's face. He thought she looked absolutely stunning today. Unsure of whether he was hallucinating, he felt like she'd completely transformed as if she'd been rejuvenated.

Noting his enthusiastic greeting, Nadine stopped in her tracks and waved at him with a smile. "You look good today too, Tyler. Lots of women are going to swoon over you."

Their department had always had more women than men. Among the 40 people in their department, only 12 of them were men, and four of them were already married.

She'd been out of school for six years, yet she had to sit for an exam so soon after she began working. Her situation truly was worrying.

She flashed a smile at him and pumped her fist in the air. "Don't worry, Tyler. I'll work hard! I'm going to hit the books now. Bye!"

Nadine could sense Tyler's feelings for her. But she couldn't respond, nor could she promise him anything. She could only ignore him. Sometimes, feigning ignorance was an act of kindness.

Adam was thrilled to see her. He couldn't help but blurt out, "Nadine, you're here! How's your job here going? Did anyone bully you? Did anyone mistreat you?

"Tell me if anyone dares to do that to you. I'll teach them a lesson."

Adam hadn't forgotten the time when the hospital fired Nadine, and he berated the hospital director back then. Whenever he thought about it, he'd summon the director over and reprimand him again.

In the end, the director was too afraid to even show up for work.
