Brad's anger flared uncontrollably when he heard Nadine's voice.

Since Tyler returned, she seemed to have changed entirely, constantly clashing with him. It was as if she couldn't be content unless she was opposing him.

Seeing her forced smile, Travis took the phone from her and gently comforted, "Don't take it to heart, Mrs. Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton is always like that. He responds better to gentleness than to force. You can't confront him head-on.

"If I may offer a bit of advice, Mr. Hamilton does care about you. If he didn't, the divorce would have been finalized by now. He's just stubborn and doesn't want to admit it.

"Instead of constantly clashing with him, try being a bit more accommodating. He responds well to a gentler approach."

Upon hearing that, Nadine looked at him with self-mockery in her eyes. "Don't worry about it, Mr. Jenkins. I know what to do."
