Nadine stared at Brad's high nose, defined lips, and distinct face. His eyes were as bright as stars. They exuded a calm yet powerful charm.

She didn't shy away from his gaze. Her eyes met his directly as she waited for his response.

Just as Brad was about to speak, Evelyn's voice came from outside.

"Brad, are you there? Gigi's here. As you said, she's come to apologize to Nadine. Have her come downstairs."

Evelyn's voice rang out, and Nadine quickly rose from Brad's lap. Standing behind him, she concealed her emotions as if nothing had happened.

Brad's words were cut off, and he didn't continue.

He turned to face Evelyn and Gigi, who entered the room.

Gigi was still wearing the same clothes. Her hair was in a mess, and her eyes were swollen and red.

Clearly, she had been crying for a long time.

In contrast, Evelyn had changed into a new outfit. She donned a black turtleneck sweater, a khaki tweed lamb wool coat, and a black wool skirt. Her hair was impeccably styled, and she exuded an elegant and noble demeanor.

Gigi cast a reluctant and resentful glance at Nadine behind Brad. When she noticed Brad looking at her, she quickly averted her gaze and lowered her head to avoid further eye contact with Nadine.

Nadine had initially thought that Brad simply wanted to cheer her up by telling her that Gigi would come to apologize.

But upon seeing Gigi's disheveled and remorseful appearance, she began to believe him.

Her gaze shifted slowly to Brad.

He was seated with his back to her.

Brad watched Gigi hesitate, his brow furrowed deeply.

His deep, blue eyes sparkled so brightly it looked like there was a vast sea of stars within them.

Seeing Gigi's reluctance, Evelyn feared that Brad might get angry. She quickly stepped in to smooth things over. "Brad, this is Gigi's first time apologizing. She's not very experienced with this. Give her a little time to adjust. Don't worry, since she's here, she will definitely apologize. Please don't push her any further."

Then, gently gripping Gigi's arm, she spoke softly, "Gigi, no matter what, you still have to apologize to Nadine. Just get it over with it. She'll forgive you."
