Nadine smiled brightly at Kieran and said, "Thanks for your concern, Dr. Gasby. I'm fine. I just didn't sleep well last night."

Ever since Brad left last night, Nadine hadn't slept well. She seemed to be asleep but also seemed to be in a dream. Her body was asleep, but her mind was wide awake. This cycle repeated throughout the night.

Nadine repeatedly forced herself not to think about Brad. But he was still in her mind, and she couldn't sleep well.

Seeing her sincere smile, Kieran nodded slightly. "Young people like you need to be aware of your sleep quality. You can't ignore it, but you also shouldn't stress over it.

"As for me, I'm just a bag of bones. I don't know if I can wait until he comes back, but I definitely won't hold him back. Don't tell him I'm sick."

Nadine struggled to suppress the heartache she felt. Her voice choked as she said, "Alright, Grandma Sophie."

Nadine didn't know if deceiving Sophie like this was right or wrong. She could only continue to keep it a secret.
