The contrast between the relaxed atmosphere in Sebastian's car with Nadine inside and the somber mood inside Brad's black Rolls-Royce couldn't have been more pronounced.

As soon as the press conference concluded, Brad headed straight to his office to deal with a few urgent matters. Once he was done, he drove over to Harborview Hospital, intending to ask Nadine out. Even if they couldn't have lunch together, dinner was still an option.

Unfortunately, when he arrived at the cardiology department at Harborview Hospital, Nadine was nowhere to be found. He tried calling her, but she didn't answer. He sent her a message on Messenger and waited—but she never replied.

With no other options, he approached Nadine's colleagues and inquired about her whereabouts. To coax information about Nadine's whereabouts from them, he had Cameron buy the trendiest drinks and personally deliver them to the nurses at the cardiology department.

Even though Cameron was relegated to the role of an errand boy, he didn't mind it in the least. His boss had finally figured out how to win a woman's heart. There was no way he'd get in the way by complaining now.

Besides, he bought a cup for himself while he was at it. He could enjoy the show while sipping on his drink, so why wouldn't he agree to this?

The nurses in the cardiology department recognized Brad and were well aware of his relationship with Nadine. After taking a sip of the drinks he brought, they addressed him warmly.

"Considering how busy you are, what brings you here today, Mr. Hamilton?"

"Are you looking for Nadine?"

"It's alright, we get it. Let me ask around and see if anyone knows where Nadine went."

"I noticed Nadine chatting with Alice a little while ago. Then, she left with her bag. Let's ask Alice first."
