Looking at the smug expression on the man's face, she had no choice but to grit her teeth and give in. "If I stay, will you give me back my phone?" Her phone contained a lot of important materials, all related to heart transplantation, many of which were hard to acquire. She didn't want to lose them.

Besides, why should she have to lose something that was hers to begin with? If all it took to retrieve her phone was swallowing her pride for a moment, she could live with that.

Brad arched his brows and grinned without a word. To get her phone back, Nadine looked at Zara, who was still bent over disinfecting the equipment. "Ms. Zimmerman, I don't have anything else to do right now. Why don't I take over Mr. Hamilton's examination so you can focus on your other tasks?"

While she spoke to Zara, Brad had already let go of her wrist. With his usual composure, he sauntered back to the window, completely unconcerned about whether she might try to escape. He believed that Nadine's phone was far too important to her. If not, there was no way she'd back down.

Zara's expression changed drastically when she heard that Nadine wanted her to leave. She looked at Nadine with a wounded expression, tears welling up in her eyes.
