Hayden walked down the stairs and saw Nigel walking into the hall. He walked over in surprise. "Mr. Faye, why are you here so late at night? Is something wrong?"

"No. I'm just here to see the children. I didn't have time before this. Are they asleep?" Nigel asked.

Hayden smiled. "Yes, they are all asleep."

"It's fine. I just want to see them," Nigel said.

"Sure, let me show you the way." Hayden led the way. Though Nigel already knew his way around the Royal Mansion, Hayden had to do so as the head butler. "You care about the children so much, Mr. Faye. If the kids know that their grandfather came all the way here at night to see them, they would be overjoyed!"

"Is Anthony home?"

"Yes, he is in the study room!"

"Is he still stopping Anne from seeing the kids?"

"I'm not sure about that, but Mr. Marwood has been in a bad mood lately. Only the children dare to get close to him," Hayden said.

'Is it because Anne went overseas? Or perhaps because of the stabbing incident?' Nigel thought.

He recalled the explanation Anne gave on the phone, saying that she had not hurt Bianca and that it was Bianca who ran towards the knife.

He should never have agreed to let Anne apologize to Bianca.

Once they were at the door, Nigel went in alone.

The triplets were asleep next to one another adorably; Chloe slept in the middle while her brothers slept on both of her sides, almost as though they were trying to protect her.

Nigel sat down gently by the bed and glanced at Charlie and Chris, who looked exactly like Anthony. As for Chloe, she was the exact replica of Anne, according to Sarah.

Nigel stared at Chloe and tried to imagine Anne when she was smaller. He could not help but reach out to pat Chloe on the head with tears in his eyes.
