Though Xavia had been groggy before this, she instantly shot awake when she heard his voice. Rubbing her eyes, she was prompted to reply, “I’m… not sure… Let me check…”

Unsure whether she was on an IV drip, Zivon quickly said, “There’s no need for that. You just stay in bed, and I’ll ask your doctor once I’m there.”

Though his voice was calm, his words sounded like an order, and all Xavia could do was agree before hanging up… Come to think of it, aside from that short visit he had made when she was at Teacher’s place, it had been over ten days since they had properly met… And now that she was sickly, her yearning for him had nearly doubled.

In the end, she was unable to stop herself from peeking out the door and checking on her ward number. Following that, she sent a message to him, stating, ‘I asked one of the nurses about the number, and she said I was in ward thirty-nine.’

With that done, she began using her front camera to tidy her hair up. As they said, wanting to look good was a form of self-care… Regardless, it was about twenty minutes later when Xavia heard a familiar pattern of footsteps approaching… and the fact that she could tell that they belonged to Zivon reassured her that she truly liked him.

Pleased to finally meet again, Xavia quickly sat up and looked at the entrance while saying, “Young Master Burton-”

However, her sentence ended prematurely when she realized who had entered the room with him… Standing beside the prestigious man was none other than Sophia. Why had they come together….?

Xavia’s train of thought was cut short when Sophia revealed a friendly smile while saying, “I heard from Young Master Burton that you were sick, and since I was already in his car at the time, I figured that I may as well visit you too. Here, I got you some flowers…”

…What a nice woman… In a way, Sophia’s kindness made Xavia feel like she was the outsider instead, and that the two were simply a couple who were paying her a visit… Suffice to say, it was an unpleasant feeling, though she made sure not to make it too obvious as she replied, “…I see. Thank you, Miss Harrison… Do help yourself to the drinks and fruits on the table…”

“That’s alright. Speaking of, I’ll be heading down first, but do take your time chatting with Young Master Burton,” replied Sophia as she slid the room door open. Before heading off, she made sure to scan whether there were any hidden reporters around… and it was only after she was sure that there were none that Sophia closed the door behind her…

It was quite a while later before their lips parted… but before Xavia could say anything, Zivon was first to say, “If you keep staring at me like that, I’ll start thinking that it’s an open invitation…”

Instantly snapping out of it, the surprised Xavia quickly retorted, “E-even if it is, I’m sure you won’t do a thing to me!”

“…Oh? You’re that confident?” replied Zivon in an extremely seductive voice.

Though he was being as domineering as always, Xavia knew for a fact that he deeply respected her. After all, he had plenty of chances to have his way with her before this, yet it never happened. With that in mind, why would he start now?

Watching as Xavia nodded in response, Zivon then gently held onto the back of her head before saying, “You’re overestimating my self-control, especially since we haven’t properly met in ten days…”
