Zivon, for one, had received a message from Dolly about five minutes ago, but he hadn’t bothered about it at all. After all, Xavia had dared to look for a boyfriend right in front of him…! Why should he concern himself with her!

…Even so, when he saw how anxious Nathan looked, he couldn’t help but worry a bit… and in the end, he sighed before grabbing his car keys and storming out of the office.

This, of course, made Nathan breathe a sigh of relief. Finally, he could relax a bit after all those torturous hours…! Shaking his head, he quickly called Xavia again before whispering, “Alright, please listen, Miss Lockhart…! Young Master Burton has been utterly terrifying throughout the day, to the point where he’s forced everyone at the company to work overtime…!”

“Please understand that many of the employees are parents, and they have children to care for…! I’m sorry I put you in this situation, but it’s all I can think of…! With that said, please don’t tell him I made it all up…! Please help us…!” pleaded Nathan.

Though Xavia could understand how horrible everyone must have felt… Zivon had been terrifying all day? Was it because of Wade? And more importantly… Didn’t that mean that she was going to suffer…?!

Quivering in fear, she quickly hung up and began looking for her makeup! She needed to make herself look deathly pale or something…! To her horror, she simply couldn’t find any of them! Hadn’t she brought some along?! This couldn’t do! He could arrive at any second…!

Though she tried her best to think of a way out of this, the more worried she was, the emptier her mind became. In the end, she couldn’t help but gulp when she heard footsteps rapidly coming from the hallway…! Was it him?! Wasn’t he too quick?!

Fearing for her life, her instincts took over and she dashed into the bathroom! She had just managed to lock the door behind her when Zivon entered the room…

Realizing that nobody was there, he raised a slight brow… before turning to look at a nearby doctor and asking, “Do you know where this ward’s patient is?”

“…Huh? But she was there just moments ago…” muttered the doctor, prompting Xavia to go speechless.

Since Xavia had failed to properly lock the door—due to how anxious she was—, Zivon easily pried the door open, causing light to illuminate the fully clothed woman hiding behind the door…! The fact that the blushing woman hadn’t even attempted to undress made it clear how desperate she was to escape from him!

Glaring icily at her, he then pinned her against the bathroom wall while growling, “Why are you hiding? Are you that afraid to see me? Or are you thinking of Wade…?!”

Now fully pale, the simultaneously flustered and terrified woman replied, “I-I’m not…! I never even considered finding a new boyfriend…! Teacher was just joking that day, and I… I’m hiding since I was worried that you’d teach me a lesson or something…!”

There was no point lying now. Her only option was to hope that the truth would save her…! Alas, Zivon simply growled, “Oh, I’m teaching you a lesson alright…!”
