Chapter 1137 novel Pregnant and Favored: See You in the Morning, Young Master

She had dated both Stefan and Zivon, for Pete’s sake! Should she just tell him that they couldn’t ever go back to how things used to be…? …Actually, saying that would probably hurt him more…

In the end, Xavia chose to ignore the request, silently hoping that Mark would just give up on her and seek his own happiness…

It didn’t take long for her phone to vibrate again, and, thinking it was Zivon, Xavia was quick to check the message she had received… only to once again be left disappointed. The message was from Mr. South, instead… Following a sigh, she gave the message a read…

‘Could you send the dress back to me today, Miss Lockhart? I’d like to display it as the lead showpiece at my studio.’

…F*ck. She had yet to return the dress! She, for one, couldn’t afford to damage that million-dollar dress, especially since someone as particular as Mr. South had allowed her to lend it in the first place! Since Zivon still hadn’t replied…

She gave it some thought but ultimately sent a text back that stated, ‘I can do it now if you’re free, actually. Also, I’ll be coming over myself as thanks for lending it to me in the first place.’

Upon reading her message, Mark’s expression immediately darkened. So, she hadn’t responded to his friend request, but she immediately replied when he sent her a message as Mr. South? Was she intent on avoiding his main account, then? Was it because she had already forgotten about him? Or did she not want to meet him for other reasons? Whichever it was, Mark still felt utterly depressed…

Honestly, all he wanted to do now was to meet up with her and question why she made that choice… and with his mind made up, he returned Xavia’s message with the text, ‘I’m free. I’ll send you my company’s address in a bit.’

‘Got it,’ replied Xavia with a sigh. Following that, she sent Zivon a text that wrote, ‘I’ll be heading out for a bit to return Mr. South’s dress. Just reply to my messages once you’re free.’

With that done, she put on an oversized sun hat before heading to the location that Mr. South had just sent her…

That aside, she found it odd that he had the lighting like this when he was meeting a client… Then again, those who engaged in creative work were oddballs, so she should’ve expected as much.

Shaking the thought off, Xavia then said “…Um… I’ve come to return the dress, Mr. South… Also, I’ve made you a pair of wool dolls as my thanks for lending me the dress… They’re the cowherd and weaver girl… I chose to make these since I figured you weren’t one to be materialistic. That aside, I’d still like to make an appreciation post on my Facebook for you and your brand. I’ll surely buy more of your designs the next time I have another function to attend.”

Though the prices were near outrageous, for that quality, it was worth it.

To Xavia’s shock, he simply replied, “You don’t have to buy anything, really. Feel free to lend my dresses for free as long as you need them.”

Naturally, Xavia grew suspicious of this. After all, even if he was a diehard fan of hers, wouldn’t this give him an opportunity to have more power over her? Frowning slightly, Xavia then said, “…Who exactly are you, Mr. South…?”
