How long she had spent with Mark!

Those words stunned Xavia. He had texted her almost four hours ago, and the fact that he could tell her how many minutes had passed could only mean…

He had been out here the whole time!

Xavia nervously explained, “I really did intend to go back earlier, but Brother Mark asked me to join him for dinner since we hadn't seen each other for many years. He also invited Dolly and I didn’t know how to reject his offer, so I stayed for dinner. It was just dinner, really.”

It was the truth but when she explained it, she sounded like a child who had done something wrong and was feeling guilty.

Zivon raised an eyebrow and scoffed, “The first time meeting each other after so many years? From what I know, the two of you met in F Country, in this mansion, and even at Hacienda a few days ago.”

Every word was an angry accusation.

Xavia’s face turned pale. How did he know about all that?!

“Xavia, if you want to go back to your first love and break up with me, just say so. You don’t need to beat around the bush and meet your childhood sweetheart behind my back.”

Before Xavia could respond, Zivon walked to the car and got in to leave. The ashtray in the car was full of cigarette butts, and the whole car smelled like cigarette smoke.

Zivon drove off as fast as he could. The car zoomed away like an arrow from a bow, and in a matter of seconds, the luxurious Maybach had disappeared from sight.

Xavia was frozen to the spot, stunned and confused. Since when did she want to go back to her first love? Her breaking up with him had nothing to do with Brother Mark!

It wasn’t what he thought!

“Sir!” Xavia quickly hailed a taxi and got inside. “Please follow that Maybach.”

The driver turned around and looked at Xavia curiously. “Why are you following a rich guy? Hey, you look familiar…”

Xavia was speechless. Just how angry was he?

She walked up to the door to unlock it but the password had been changed. Helplessly, she took her phone out, removed his contact from the blacklist, and gave him a call.

“I’m sorry, the number you’ve dialed is unavailable. Please try again later.”

Xavia gritted her teeth and sent him a text: [I did meet Brother Mark before this but I thought he was Stefan. It’s our first time meeting like this. Could you at least give me a chance to talk about this face to face?’]

Upstairs, in the study room.

Zivon’s expression was as cold as ice. They had met several times but this was the first time she recognized him? Why should he believe her?

Even if what she said was true, she had lied to him today… and he absolutely hated it when people lied to him.
