“I found the medication! How many tablets do you need to take?” Xavia was about to go downstairs but bumped into Zivon who was carrying Sophia while walking up the stairs. She quickly said, “I’ll go fetch some water.”

“Mm,” Zivon grunted. After putting Sophia on the bed, he opened the medicine case Xavia gave him and took out three pills. When Xavia brought him a cup of water, he put the medicine into Sophia’s mouth, took the cup, and held it to her mouth. His movements were smooth and considerate.

Sophia took the pills, and it seemed like she felt much better, but she still remained in Zivon’s arms.

Zivon did not push her away and just hugged her emotionlessly.

It was just a duty to him.

An hour later, Sophia’s pain dissipated, and she gradually drifted off to sleep.

Zivon got up and gently laid her on the bed.

“Don’t go… just hold me for one night. Please don’t leave…” Sophia murmured. She was still clinging to him weakly, unwilling to let go like an orphan with no one to rely on.

Zivon’s expression darkened and his body went stiff. A few seconds later, he awkwardly laid down on his side next to Sophia and said to Xavia, “It’s late now. You should go back to your room and get some rest.”

Xavia immediately looked away and lowered her head to check on the rice cooker. “I’m making some porridge. Miss Harrison, please have a seat first.”

“It’s fine, I’ll take the bowls out.” Sophia smiled as she walked over. As she picked up the bowls, she leaned in close to Xavia and whispered, “Do you know what a man thinks when a woman is at their weakest?”

Those words threw Xavia off guard, and she was stunned.
